It features an integrated filter that reduces chlorine taste and odor, providing cleaner and better-tasting water with every sip. While the filter needs periodic replacement, it's a cost-effective alternative to bottled water. Overall, it's a great choice for those looking to stay hydrated with fresher-tasting water while reducing plastic waste.

No more Brita for me. I have had 3 Brita pitchers in my possession so far, and 2 out of those 3 pitchers leaked from the top. I will be returning my 3rd one. Only one pitcher has been functional so far, and in addition, the Longlast filters that I bought do not last long... This is my detailed experience: The first 6-cup pitcher that I had bought 2 years ago (I do not remember the model) leaked and I managed to exchange it at the store for a different model that actually worked. However, after 2 years, I wanted to get a bigger pitcher, as our 6-cup pitcher did not suffice for my family. We have a lead problem in our neighborhood. Only the Longlast filter is effective against lead, so I bought a couple of them a year ago. Despite my initial problems with the very first 6-cup Brita pitcher that I had owned, I decided to buy a 10-cup pitcher because I already had Longlast filters at home. However, this 10-cup filter leaks too. By "leaks", I mean that whenever I pour myself a glass of water, the water that is in the reservoir (therefore not filtered) leaks from the cracks on the side of the pitcher (onto the counter) AND gets into the "flap" with the filtered water (which means that I end up drinking unfiltered tap water). I thought at first that I had assembled the pitcher wrong. I removed all the parts a few times and put them back as they should. No matter what I did, the result was the same: unfiltered water got onto the counter as well as into my glass. Then, I thought that maybe I should not fill the reservoir so much (I filled it to the "max fill" line the few times, then decided to only fill it a few drops at a time) and give the water time to be fully filtered. However, no matter how little water is in the reservoir, it will leak. Even if there are just a few mililiters of water left in the reservoir, those mililiters will get onto my counter and/or into my cup. It is extremely annoying because all of the Longlast filters that I have used so far take an eternity to filter water. The one that I am currently using is not even one month old and even after letting it filter water for an entire night, there is some water waiting to be filtered in the reservoir when I wake up the next morning. I simply cannot wait for ALL of the water to be filtered before I pour myself a glass of water. I would have to wait for 18h just to get a single *reservoir* fully filtered (at this point, the pitcher is not even full: one full *reservoir* does not mean one full *pitcher*)... All of this is to say: if you buy a Brita pitcher to avoid problematic substances like heavy metals (in my case, lead), try another brand. My experience with 3 Brita filters shows me that it is useless as 2 pitchers out of 3 ended up leaking (thus pouring unfiltered water into my glass) and the Longlast filters do not last long at all. Environmentally-speaking, Brita is not a solution since they are poorly designed and require changing. I do not know what happens with the pitchers that are returned to the store, but I doubt that it is highly eco-friendly. Furthermore, the Longlast filters only last 1 or 2 months before they clog and become useless. I am done with Brita.

I bought the large picture in order to be able to completely fill my pets water bowls . The water tastes fine and the dogs are no longer sick from the city water . But this pitcher is designed wrong or this particular one is defective. The top falls off and the little cover over the spout falls off every time I use it. Even when I hold the top down it leaks . For $40 I expected a product that worked properly .

Some of the reviews states that the lid does not stay on - I think that has been resolved as the one I purchased a week ago stays on when pouring. The pitcher has a nice shape and capacity. I however do not like the shape of the spout. It would be better being V shaped. The solid color of the area where water is put in for filtering would be better if it were clear like the Monterey round pitcher so you can see how much water is being put in. Capacity marks in this area inside would be great also so you know how much tap water you are adding.

This pitcher is SO bad. Until this pitcher, I used to be a huge Brita fan. I had the same Brita pitcher for probably 10 years - it worked great, and held up nicely, but then I got married and we needed a bigger pitcher. I was so excited to buy a new, bigger Brita with a cool colored lid. We bought this pitcher in red and it has been trouble ever since. At least once a week, the lid falls off during a pour, resulting in water all over the counter, the floor, and, last week, the refrigerator shelves and drawers (and everything on and in them!). It happened again today - a newly-filled pitcher of water all over the counter and floors - and that was the last straw for me. I'm going to try to return it to Target where I purchased it. If that doesn't work, I'll ask Brita for a refund. It has HUGE design flaws with the lid and the "new" filter that need to be fixed right away. I can't believe Brita hasn't fixed them, yet. Too bad I threw my old Brita out. Since I assume all of the new Britas pitchers have this same horrible design, I suppose we'll have to try another brand, like PUR.
