I haven't used a sewing machine since I was little. I was able to have it up and going quickly. I've already made several projects and I've only had it six days! The machine does everything promised. It's very easy to thread and the needle threader is so much easier than doing it yourself. Dropping the bobbin in is easy, too. You don't have to pull the thread out to sew. Winding a bobbin is easy as well. Be sure to insert the thread INTO the round tension button, not around it like I did at first. All you'll need to start sewing is some thread and fabric. It comes with everything else to start you off. To find out specific info about the machine, you can go to brother.com and search for the model number, like I did. For the money, this was the machine with the best features and reviews. I bought the 2 year protection plan in case there's an issue with the computer at some point in the next couple of years.

The machine even comes with a manual so you don't have to download it from the internet. This is my first computerized sewing machine so the manual was a real plus...I needed it. My old machine was 23 yrs. old so this is a real learning experience. I can't wait to try all the specialty stitches that are installed.

I was so excited to receive this sewing machine because of the good reviews. However, I was also very disappointed about the skipping stitches. I've had a Singer sewing machine for over 10 years and it has never skipped a stitch. Anyway, I returned the machine for a full refund so Walmart is an awesome place to shop. I will stick to Singer.

This is a very good product. The machine is light enough to be easily moved from one place to another and it sews very nicely. It is not for industrial use and it is limited to the thickness of fabric used, for example; it does not do well with heavy denim. I would recommend this machine without hesitation.

I bought this sewing machine for myself and my 7 year old daughter, so she could learn how to sew. We both really like the ease of use and she has already sewn 3 projects.
