Good product; works as described. Pros: -20oz of product (mostly freon with some conditioners for seals/lubrication). 1 can was enough to take from totally empty to 35 psi which did provide cooling for a full-size suv a/c system. -Gauge (very useful), hose, and connector good enough quality reuse if needed for later applications. -Can empties quickly/good flow rate to complete job in 5-10 min. Cons: -A little pricey, but in line with market/most of the other quality freon out there. -So easy to use it makes putting off A/C repairs for me, lol.
This product is foolproof. Follow the instructions and, if you can, watch a YouTube video of it being used on your model vehicle. There is enough in the can so you should only need one.
Watched the video provided by A/C Pro and followed the instructions precisely. Everything went as described and took only about 10 minutes. Air conditioner is working like new.
Worked well for my AC issues on my Sorento. Low pressure/refrigerant was my issue, causing the core to freeze up. Pressure check on the low connection showed less than 10psi. Used about half of the refrigerant in the AC Pro container, stopped at 40psi (mid way of good). Drove the car for about 15 mins and checked the pressure and was down 2psi, added more to keep it at 40psi. Basic steps to follow: Warm car up to normal operating temp. Turn off car. Locate your "L" low pressure service port. Remove cap and unscrew hose and gauge from AC pro kit. Connect to Low pressure service port, if it does not fit, you have the wrong type. Start car, turn AC on MAX, fan on high, temp on coldest setting, open doors/windows to prevent the AC from cycling. Watch pressure gauge if you're in the good range you need to have your AC serviced by a pro. If low, you can turn car off. reconnect the hose and gauge to the AC pro tank. Start car, and pull trigger in the upright position while moving the bottle around, then holding it horizontal and moving the bottle around. Repeat this until you're in the green PSI zone. Drive the car for a few miles and repeat the steps to ensure its still in the green PSI zone. If the AC stops blowing cold over a short time period, you have a leak and need to have your system serviced.
Been awhile since I messed around under the hood of a car, but I consider myself at least average in mechanical ability. That being said, those that don't feel that way, might want to have a friend do the job for them. As it turns out, it was very easy to use and I followed directions which are very clear. Within 15 minutes, I had very cold air coming out of the vents again. Didn't require the whole can either so I have some left if I ever need it. Saved me big bucks by avoiding the dealer.
