Chef Boyardee Cheese Pizza Maker, Crust Mix and Pizza Sauce Meal Kit, 31.85 oz.

Gen X here. Grew up with these on Friday nights while watching Dukes of Hazzard. As always things change but why did they stop adding the cheese packet to the “cheese” pizza mix? Adding mozzarella cheese changes the flavor all together. The packet wasn't much but it did add the zing.

I used love these kits but they no longer included the powered cheese that made these pizzas unique. Sadly, my homemade pizza from scratch is better than the kits. I also dont like that they dont split the sauce, you are pretty much stuck making both pizzas at the same time.

I've loved these boxes of awesome since I was a kid. My mom used to make these for us and now I get to make them for my little peanut. We love making our own pizzas or I make a large pizza casserole or calzones and stuffed garlic breads as well. This little box is delicious any way you make it!

This is an important review. I am 64 years old. I have been eating these pizzas since I was in high school. The last order arrived and Chef Boyardee has evidently decided it is in their best interest to no longer provide all the ingredients needed to make a pizza. The kits comes in original and pepperoni. My sister sent me 6 boxes (my favorite meal as a teen)and all of a sudden they do not put packets of grated Parmesan cheese inside the box. You have to purchase cheese separately. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had let people who have been ordering this product for years know this was happening. In order to know about the change you would have to read the box of ingredients. I have been purchasing this since 1970, so never looked at ingredients. I expected a complete meal to get me through quarantine. Very disappointing. I purchased because it had everything I needed.

I am disappointed in this pizza kit. The kit use to come with the crust mix, sauce mix that had pepperoni it it and a packet of cheese. I had not purchased this in quite some time and did not realize the quality had went down hill. I notice the package says "Traditional" and I am not sure what that even means. Back in the day it was "cheese" or "pepperoni". I guess for the price it is a decent deal. You get a crust mix (just add water) and a can of sauce. Nothing else. You do get a good amount of dough. We made 2 pizzas from this kit and the crust was pretty thick. Then added our own toppings.
