Clairol Natural Instincts Semi-Permanent Hair Color, Light Cool Brown Tweed, 6A/14

I've been using Natural Instincts for over a year now. I love the color. I love that it's not permanent and it's ammonia-free. It smells great. This color is amazing....although I have to buy it online so I think this color is going to be discontinued soon because Target and Walmart don't carry it in store. The ONLY downfall to this color is that it bleeds for about 15 washes. This is because it's a wash-out color so it makes sense. How ever, I can't use my white towels or pillowcases anymore and I don't wear light colored shirts until my hair has been washed around 4 times after application. Application is easy and tons of people ask me who does my hair and compliments my color.

The Natural Instincts line is not permanent and my hair grows fast so I have to color frequently. This product does not wreck my hair and coverage looks natural, not dyed!

I discussed using this type of product with my stylist because I wanted some gray coverage but didn't want to deal with roots and a drastic or demanding coloring schedule! I learned that it is much easier on and much less damaging to one's hair than permanent color which contains ammonia. Ammonia makes hair very porous and causes permanent damage which is why hair colored and recolored (with ammonia product) begins to appear less shiny and sort of "muddy" in appearance. Non-permanent color washes away in approximately the same time frame in which permanently colored hair needs root touch up. The change in appearance as the Natural Instincts wears away is subtle and no "roots demarcation". I recolor at my convenience because the change is subtle and like I said - no big roots issue. I have been using Natural instincts for several years now and am well pleased with the performance and the effect on my hair. Easy to apply, no unpleasant odor, additional color sachet and conditioner (for a few more shampoos) nice bonuses - I would recommend this product to others. ( I personally use it about once every 3 months, it depends on how often you shampoo, it is suggested it lasts thru 28 shampoos.)

I have been using this color for a little while and I love it! It is the prefect shade of red. It does come out as a bright cherry red almost when first done but fades into a beautiful deep auburn color(my hair was a medium to dark brown originally). I was having difficulty finding it in stores so I was excited to find it and order it from walmart.

I've never had so many compliments on a hair color before. Color stays nice throughout the 4+ weeks till next use. I will stick with this as long (hopefully forever) as they carry it. Hair never gets as dry as many others I have used. Good coverage on my grays.
