Command Universal Picture Hanger w/ Stabilizer Strips, Jumbo, 1-Hanger (17048-ES)

Bought these for the 8 lb weight limit, got them home, opened them, then read the directions. These have a fatal design flaw. Installation involves stabilizer strips attached to the lower back to the frame that are installed by pushing the frame flush to the wall. The problem? That's impossible - no frame with wires or saw tooth hangar on the back can EVER fit flush to the wall - it will ALWAYS be out a bit further at the top and hang at a slight angle with only the bottom edge touching the wall. Which means the picture WILL fall off. I called the company and their response was "okay." The fine print also shows a size limit that should be prominently posted at the top.

I've used Command products since they first became available and have generally had a good experience, although not so much in recent years. The adhesive is faulty. I carefully checked the weight limits for this product (8 lbs.) and used it to hand a 4-lb. mirror. I applied the hook to a clean, dry wall, applied pressure, and waited well over an hour to hang a mirror. During my absence from the house a few hours later, the mirror came crashing down. Very disappointed.

Chose this product to hang a very large decorative metal plate on the wall. I couldn't use traditional hangers because there was no stud where I wanted to hang it. I followed the directions and it worked perfectly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I hung a picture well below the weight limit for this hanger. Followed instructions to a T. It lasted 3 days and pucture crashed to the ground. Unless u plan on hanging something that weighs perhaps a pound, DO NOT USE THIS

I used this product for about 3 years for a 5-pound or less hanging mirror, which worked great until I had to move out of my apartment and remove it. I pulled one white strip down, and the white strip broke. The second white strip broke as well. So there was no other way than to rip it off the wall, which ruined the paint. The other Command products worked well, but this one didn't work as well. Also, the silver square part shows behind the artifact, which isn't too appealing when you want only the artwork to be visible.
