This is to be a Christmas gift for my 7 year old daughter, so no long term use yet. Was easy to load with music. Has great volume and sound. Speaker sound and volume pretty amazing for something so small. There are other cheaper players available, but I would rather pay a little more for a trusted name like Creative. I Really like that the max volume can be set with the software so my daughter can't play it so loud that it damages her ears.

I have one just like this. I bought this for a granddaughter. It's just like mine only PINK...she'll love it. I love the speaker feature The only thing I've not liked about this is the earphone...they just don't fit my ears...feels too big. Another Granddaughter has one also, and she has the same problem with the earphones. Overall this is well worth the money!

This has to be a tentative review. Initial "tests" have proven that this is a very good device -- compact, good sound quality, useful. Caveat -- volume is set to max upon receipt -- turn it WAY down before connecting the buds to your ears. Also, the buttons are small and it's too easy to hit the wrong one when otherwise desired. The last significant problem is an inability to determine where you are in the queue when looking for a particular selection or folder. The tentative problem is in holding a charge. While using it the other day, after a 2 day sabatical, the unit went dead -- without warning -- leaving it useless until it could be recharged (and the LED indicated that the charge was down only to 75% when it died.) It has since been recharged and appears to be working fine since then, but we will still see what happens -- hopefully, this device only requires daily charging before being used remote from the source computer -- the reason for this purchase. Used approximately 4x/week - almost daily for 1-2 hrs at a time.

I bought this MP3 on the internet. But it seems a little bit difficult to use.Plus the USB cable is too short. And i don't think it deserve 30 bucks.I won't recommend you to buy this product.

FLAWS: 1. Its Speaker sounds like a 50s/60s transister radio or one of those speakers at the old drive-in theater. This is a big flaw for a speaker mp3 that should be emitting stereo sound whether you are listening with headphones or through the speaker. However, this is one of the few MP3s that has a speaker. You can hear it pretty well when you are in the same room with it or within 10 to 15 feet outdoors. 2. No window to view what song/artist is playing. You will just have to keep tapping the forward or reverse arrow buttons until you hear what you want. Also you can't see any volume level (the instruction manual recommends 85 max decibels when you are listening with the headphones). ADVANTAGES: 1. Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (hurray, no more changing AAA batteries). You just plug it in the USB port of your computer. I also bought a portable USB AC Charger made by Original Power Powerline stock no. 0900-71 that is also sold at Walmart for about $13. This is a product that just plugs into the regular electrical wall plugs in your home. Then you are able to plug 1 or 2 Mp3s into its 2 square USB ports to charge your lithium-ion battery Mp3s. It is also for iPod and Zune and compatible USB devices for you computer/music tekkies out there. I need it because I will not always have a computer available to me to charge my Zen Stone Mp3. 2. VOLUME LEVEL IS SUPERIOR when you listen with earbuds or headphones. ZEN is far superior to my other 2 AAA battery MP3s (a Nextar & an RCA). I ride the bus and its motor always drowns out the volume in those 2 MP3s especially with quiet songs. For those of you who don't want to hear other people's voices, motors, etc. when you are out in public, this is the MP3 to buy to listen to great stereo sound with earbuds or headphones. The Zen MP3 is very small too (cute) and also comes with earbuds and a rubbery "skin" to cover and protect it but it looks to be pretty sturdy without a cover. Its instructions are easy and it has colored blinking lights (red, green, orange) that indicate when the player is on, in pause and when you need to recharge. I hope a company invents an MP3 with a good stereo speaker for multi-person listening. I'd love to see an MP3 with 2 jacks for 2 pairs of earbuds or headphones so that 2 people can listen to music at the same time.
