Debby's Date Sweetened, Cocoa Nib, Gluten Free, No Salt Added Almond Butter 16oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me say that it doesn't exactly taste like peanut butter, so don't buy it expecting that. It is sweeter then peanut butter, however that is the idea with it being sweetened with dates. Plus the dates is a natural sweetener, so that is nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had almond butter before, so this was an experiment - and I wish I'd tried it sooner. This container has plenty of almond butter to last and it's delicious! The butter is best refrigerated, but it thickens up when it's cold. The butter spreads easily once it's been mixed up or left out for a few minutes for toast or however else you want to use it. It's also good on plain fruit. The flavor is mild and the texture is not gritty. There are small chunks of chewy lightly chocolate flavored nibs mixed in it. I recommend mixing it up as the oils tend to rise to the surface. It is slightly sweet, but not salty.

I loved the attention to healthy ingredients and the use of alternatives to provide a gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan product, but the consistency and taste of the almond butter itself was a disappointment. Even after stirring to fold the contents together, the texture of the material was very runny and oily, causing oil residues to be left on the outside of the container and on the cap. I didn't taste any of the cacao or dates in the flavor of the almond butter, and it required a very bland cracker to taste the hint of sweetness found in the spread. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really really enjoy this Debby's Date Sweetened, Cacao Nib Almond Butter 16oz in our household and we have some picky eaters. It is great on toast and sandwiches! I would definitely recommend this.

I dont normally care for nut butters but this one is amazing! The dates sweeten it and it is wonderful by the spoonful! The cacao nibs are ground down so they are just flavorful and not big hard pieces. I will buy this again.
