We love Zippy and are the talk of the neighborhood. He was only up 10minutes before people started dropping in to look at him,ask questions or just say how awesome. I will be surrounding him with some black heirloom tomatoes and banksia roses for added wow factor.
Looks really good. The hole for the 4x4 pole could be a little bigger. Took some effort to get gim on. Also seemed kind of thin. Could see light in some areas. I was afraid.he would crack as I had to force him down the pole.
It does look very good, but the 4x4, which appeared to be perfectly straight, did not slide right through. I had to file down about 1/4" of material from a small 1/2" x 1/2" area for it to fit. Disappointing, but not a big deal - only took about 5 min to fix up.
We just love our mailbox now. He looks like a real statue. Its made of very sturdy material. We get lots of compliments from our neighbors on him! It arrived in a timely manner and was packed very well.
My neighbors and their grandchildren love him. It took my mailman 3 days to notice him but he loved him when he did. He is fanciful and not overdone. He's good fun all year round. I love dragons and he is my best so far.
