Dirt Devil Power Stick Vacuum, M084100RED

Great for hardwood and tile. Very powerful vacuum picks up great and is very light weight. I was also glad it has a cord. It is very hard to find a good bare floor vac nowadays most you find are rechargeable and I just question the power on them or they are huge full size vacuum types which I don't need.. The only thing I would like to have on this one is a hose attatchment also the way you empty the dust cup is a little wierd and seems like it could brake in time if you are not careful.

The product states it's ideal for carpets and bare floors, but it is horrible, even on floors. You have to go over an area maybe 4 times before it picks up visible small scraps like a rice and you have to go over it very SLOW. Mostly it will just move the small pieces of debris around. It is very loud for something this small and weak. It does pick up some lint, dirt, and hair, but it mostly moves hair around on your carpet. This vacuum is not good on floors or soft and hard carpets. In the process of buying another vacuum. Basically your carpet will still feel dirty after you vacuum and unless you like walking on dirty carpets or love to vacuum, I suggest buying something else.

In theory, this would be a great little vacuum. I have hard wood floors and was tired of always sweeping, so in between thorough sweeps, I could use this to clean the big, obvious dirt and dust. It kept its charge well, that never seemed to be a problem. The problem became the filter and the part around the filter. It became so dusty and dirty, that after almost every use, I had to take the filter out (which was usually not too dirty) and wash the filmed filter around it. The dust would get in there and there was no way to get it out without washing it with water and letting it dry. This became so tedious, that I starting using my broom and dustpan again and put in on my garage sale for $2.00

I thought this would be good for the kitchen and "quickie" clean ups around the house. I don't use this vacuum anymore unless I am desperate because it is extremely LOUD and painful to be around. While not too heavy, be sure you don't drop it on your toe and get some earplugs while you're at it.

I researched vacuums prior to buying this one and it was listed as great for pet hair, and highly rated all the way around. It doesn't pick up pet hair very well, it has a vent that shoots hair right into the path you are trying to vacuum so light particals like dust and pet hair get blown up into the air instead of sucked into the vacuum. It is light and easy to use, but does not work well for pet hair.
