I am training for half marathon and I never focused on how comfortable I need my feet to be more than at this time and I've been running for over 20 years. I will definitely keep these in my soles from now on (to 20 more years with the Dr.)!
Good insole at a fair price, but there is a very large gap in the available sizes. There are only two sizes of this product. Size 1 is W 5.5-9, and size 2 is M 10.5-14. That is a very big gap in length and width. the size 2 cant be correctly trimmed below 10.5, thus missing the women's 9.5 to 11.5 / men's 8.5 to 10 sizes. There should be a third size, and each size should list the M and W range. Why is the thinner but more contoured "performance sized to fit running" insole 2.5x as expensive?
I have a high arch and was never satisfied with the feel of any shoes, especially new shoes. When the shoes get worn down enough to support my arch there would finally be some relief. But who wants to wait on that every time you buy new shoes. Just put some Dr scholls active series insoles in them and your good to go. There's no such thing as BREAKING IN YOUR SHOES anymore with this insole. Highly recommend! Couldn't live without them!
I have used insoles for years but you changed the ones I always used to 3/4 length so I tried the active series ones. They were great at the beginning but after having them for 2 months the tops are starting to shred. I have never had to buy new insoles before wearing them for 5 months. I'm very disappointed with this.
I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for years and tried different inserts that did little or nothing. I was forced to stop running, just a few months ago I decided to give running another shot. With a lot of stretching and focusing on staying hydrated I managed to keep the pain at a manageable level. I saw an add for the Dr. Scholl's Active Series inserts and figured I would give them a try. I put the insoles into my current running shoes and immediately started to notice the difference. It's been about a month, I'm running three times a week ,and the pain is all but gone. Thanks!
