There is not much difference between this product and the other Downy brand. This product was given to me so I did not purchase.

At first smell, the scent is strong, but once it is diluted during the wash, it settles into a very pleasant clean scent. My clothes were soft, even tried it on my stiff sheets and they got soft! Downy works so on static that I can even forego my dryer sheet. I will continue to purchase this product.

The smell was still there even after the dry...no dry sheet. Getting 40 loads from the small bottle is big for this family of 5 - 3 young adults!

They felt super soft after washing and drying, and they smelt great. The scent was not overpowering yet it stayed on the fabric for days. Just remember to shake the bottle before pouring it into your washing machine.
