I've purchased two sets of Custom FiT 110's in the past and referenced my old purchase number for this order. I compared these to my old ones. Same length, same number, same style, padding in the same places. I'm on my feet a lot in the hospital and usually take about 2-3 days to adjust to a new pair of inserts. The pain WORSENED after 3 days and I have no choice but to wear the old, flattening pair. I have an appointment with podiatry at the end of the month for TRUE custom fit orthotics. Would NOT recommend.
I'd hoped it would just support my arch. Unfortunately, it also turned my foot inside my boot. After a few days of use, I experienced considerable pain where my IT band attaches to my tibial plateau. Not knowing the cause, I continued wearing them and the pain continued. I removed them several days later and the pain hasn't returned since.
I don't live close to any kiosk to step on the machine so I have to use the website to figure this out. My podiatrist told me to answer the questions, then go back and answer with a slight change if I wasn't sure how to answer. She said sometimes you get a different orthodic number. The first time I got more question screens which I wish I would get again but I don't. I now know where my foot hurts when barefoot but that screen doesn't always come up. I purchased the first full length custom orthotic based on the website analysis. The first couple days it seemed right but I was also wearing the foot brace my podiatrist gave me. The first day I did not have the foot brace on with the orthotic, the ball of my foot hurt a lot when I finished my walk which tells me this orthotic may not be the right one. I just wish I could talk to a human that knows what would work for me. When you go to the questions area, you only get website FAQ's. That doesn't help me much. I do want to order a couple more or mix up and take another custom orthotic and plantar fascia inserts but I'd like to talk to someone first before guessing on what to buy. I feel that's the problem here, you spend money but you're guessing.
I got custom fit at a machine in-store and then ordered the appropriate insert online. It has helped somewhat with my lower back pain but it is stressing a different part of my foot now as I stand and walk around for work all day. It is also breaking up already...and I've only had it for a month...
I have a custom orthotic that is out for rebuilding, and I needed something to get me through until it comes back. I tried the fitting machine at our local drugstore, and the CF730 was recommended. I honestly can't tell the difference between this and the custom model. I'm going to keep using this one to make shoe rotation easier, and I will pick up another when the original wears out.
