Adhesive Mag Lock, 2 Locks/1 Key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a couple months ago and so far they've been effective. It's easy to engage and disengage the locks. If they remain locked its really easy to release the lock. It would also be easier if they had been off limits all along. Once they were installed she had a tantrum but now she's used to it.

I have been working for hours to get these locks to work. Nothing is working. We have 8 locks and only TWO adhesive strips. Nothing is lining up. The catcher isn't working at all. I am beyond annoyed and exhausted trying to get these locks to work on ANY cabinet we have. Horrible product!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied these to a bathroom cabinet. The cabinets are thick solid wood, and the magnet had no trouble reaching through the thick wood. In fact, the magnet could open the lock even when about 1/2" in front of the door, as shown in the picture. I applied the locks with the adhesive, and waited 48 hours before testing the locks, as the instruction stated. I found the adhesive held okay, but not securely. I could have pulled the door open because the adhesive started to separate from the door lock when I pulled on it. For long term, I think using screws to make a more sturdy application would be better. Installation was fairly easy. The included template was very creative and helpful in getting the lock and catch lined up correctly. I also liked that you can turn the locks off if you don't want them engaged for a while; allowing flexibility in their use. Most cabinet locks don't have this flexibility - once they are installed, they are always in use. Overall, great product that I'd recommend to others.

I would definately recommend this product to moms of littles as it was super simple to install, had minimal packaging, and is set at a good price point in-store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These magnetic locks are excellent. They install with sticky tape to the inside of you cabinet and door and securely keep cabinet doors closed. We use them to keep the baby out of the cleaning supply cabinets. They're easy to install and use and are much easier to use than the clamps.
