Duck Brand Window Roll-On Film Insulation Value Bundle

Rolling it out made it really easy, I like that about this but the plastic is so thin and the tape on the roll didn't stay and kept falling off. Had to use packaging tape to keep it up.

The idea of having the preapplied tape is great, but the implementation is lack luster. The tape does not stay stuck, unlike the double sided tape in the other kits which works great. I cleaned around my window with alcohol, applied the roll on tape to the top edge of the frame and used the double sided duck brand tape on the other 3 edges. One day later and on the 2 windows I used the Roll-on product, 1/3 of the top edge is no longer adhered and the other three sides are still stuck tight. The other windows in my house where I used the standard film are all stuck tight as well. Clearly it was not a problem with the install or I would have expected the problem to be replicated on all the windows.

Have to handle a bit with care, and if you have horizontal blinds, can be a bit tricky to attach up under the canopy, but overall, for the price and size this package offers, it certainly is better than watching the ice form on the inside of the window. At least now there is something, this plastic, between me and the ice. Every little bit helps to prevent the leakage windows are known for.

I love the convenience of the Roll-on Film that Duck makes. It is especially easier to use on my very large living room window--over 8 feet wide. I wish that Duck Brand would make the roll-on film in the heavy duty thickness! Since this is only .7 mil thick, and the heavy duty is 1.5 mil thick, I couldn't give it all 5 stars. I have used both products and can appreciate the noticeable improvement in the heavy-duty film. It is better at keeping out drafts and easier to work with while still permitting a clear view out my windows when properly installed.

Great solution for drafty windows. I moved into an older condo with Jalousie windows and looked around for something to make them more energy friendly before eventually possibly upgrading. After reading the instructions and watching a youtube video they were very easy to apply within a couple of minutes for each window. Cheap and virtually invisible! The only downside - after checking several different retail and home improvement stores I found this is not a stock item. It has to be a site to store item which took two weeks to arrive at my local Walmart. I assume that was because of it's popularly during mid-winter. Hopefully it will become a in-stock item as it catches on.
