The price is bearable and a little less expensive than the same in CVS. stores. What can I say except if you need AAA batteries like right away now, get them @Walmart. After buying from Walmart I ordered (8) of the same from Amazon. Being a customer since 2021 the item was shipped the day I placed the order and the cost? The cost was $0.00 just saying can't beat that.
I have bought Duracell batteries for decades. They always outlasted other brands and never had leaking or corrosion problems. The last package I bought, AAAs "good until 2023", are corroding in the package and in everything I've used them in. I don't have time to mess with this. It's time to use a different brand.
I was a stalwart Duracell customer for decades. Recently, however, I have had so much tool damage from Duracell leaking batteries that I gave up and went with the rabbit competitor, much less leakage. At first I figured it was a bad batch/bad year. Continued problems even sitting in storage, under perfect conditions convinced me otherwise. The company I manage has also switched entirely to different brands, with better results.
I have bought Duracell Coppertop Alkaline batteries for years, paying more than for other brands. Lately they have an annoying habit of leaking, even while in their original packaging and well before expiration dates. I have a lot of batteries I am going to throw out as I search for another brand. I have complained to the company, in response to which I have been asked a number of questions about original packaging and where and when I bought my batteries. I don't have all the information, only the batteries that have not expired but have leaked.
I have been using Duracell batteries for many.. many years and up until the last 5 or so years had no real problems. Lately I've been getting cells that claim to be good for several years of storage, but tend to leak new in the package or make a mess of expensive equipment because of leaking. These are not just the regular copper tops, but also the "commercial" grade red tops as well. I've been switching over to the Panasonic "Eneloop" rechargeables with remarkable success and long term storage. I guess Panasonic have actually been improving their products over the years rather than just claiming to with different packaging. If you want to buy these batteries cheaper than the MSRP, buy the Costco Kirkland brand.. Duracell makes them! Just without the copper top shrink wrap label.. they tend to leak just as much though :(
