Arrived on time and in a reasonable condition. A few things though; the directions were in the bottom of the box, the main door has the end of one brace broken loose, and the thermometer nut is missing. I have not yet tried it out as I need to contact customer service. Otherwise I think it will work fine.
This is a pretty good smoker though it could be improved upon. It does a good job smoking but definitely have to be careful with placement of your food. If you have a large quantity of items like chicken thighs for example, there is a large difference in the heat from the firebox side to the opposite side. Meat on the firebox side will cook much faster and overcook long before the meat on the other side. Also there are a lot of air leaks right out of the box. These can be somewhat corrected, search YouTube for videos on how to negate some of these before you assemble it. It is definitely capable of awesome results once you learn it quirks but will definitely require some patience. The manufacturer definitely could make it a lot more user friendly for a small amount of cost which I would not mind paying for a better product. There needs to be some kind of heat diffuser plate where the heat exits the firebox so it is more uniform across the entire cooking chamber. I plan to make something for this purpose in the future. Overall it works and I have made some tasty meals with it.
I'm new to smoking but this one has already made us some delicious food. I've used charcoal briquettes but also used maple and oak from my own yard. pretty easily maintaines 220-250 degrees as long as there is coals in the box. i purchased a heavy cover for it separately. there may be or likely is better ones available but I am very happy with this one and recommend it.
I have this smoker got it last year and about 2-3 weeks ago I finally got to use it and I love it did a 15lbs of brisket for 12 hours the temperature stayed right between 225-250 all day there was very little smoke leaking out and I plan on using it a lot more this year the only thing I have to complain about is I wish the drip pan was either bigger or deeper cause it didn't take long to fill up
this smoker works great i used high temp silicone to seal it between the offset box and the body and it had a open gap on the back at the top i sealed with the silicone but it worked great it seasoned up easy and worked great on the first cook its worth the buy
