thanks, works great.
I bought this to go between the rows in my garden. If I have the drag bar down low enough to dig into the ground, it tries to dig down to the middle of the earth. If I bring the drag bar up, it tries to race across the garden like an Olympic sprinter. Neither action helps me.
It seemed like a great purchase at the price and size . Easy for a woman to use. However this gets grass wrapped around the teeth and you have to stop and take it off to continue going . I didn't do a garden this year because it took so long to do even a 2×2 area. My garden is about 8x8 section.
I used it twice so far. It works good for what it is intended for. A mini cultivator. I would recommend this for small flower beds or a really small garden. This machine uses minimal fuel . I was worried I'd be filling up all the time when I saw the small fuel tank. I used it twice and could probably use two more times before refueling. Ideal conditions for this machine would be soft or loose soul. I cultivated under a tree for a flower bed and the soil was packed down and dry. This machine had a hard time tilling the soil and was bouncing around pretty good. Once loosened it did an excellent job of mixing in organic matter. If you have a bigger job get a bigger heavier machine. The machine is a little hard to start. I followed the manufacturer directions. It takes between 10-15 pulls before it fires. I said earlier this machine is light and when you pull the cord to start you basically pull the machine off the ground. All in all I'm happy with my purchase. Could some things be addressed? Yes, but then I'm sure the cost of the machine would go up.
Earthquake 31635 MC33 Cultivator with a 33cc 2-Cycle Viper is light weight but with plenty of power for home use. I have used it to prepare areas for reseeding and to break up a mound of topsoil that has been laying for several years. Much more convenient than getting out the big tiller when this one will do the job.
