e.l.f. Cover Everything Concealer, Medium, 0.14 Oz

This review is for the Yellow concealer. To be honest, I didn't like this on first impression, largely because the texture -is- a little stiff and draggy. The color worked well for my under-eye purple on cool olive skin (moderate purple - I don't know if this would cover heavy purple), though, and I figured out how to optimize it in my routine. I moisturize with a blend of facial oil (which also serves as the perfect primer for my mineral foundation) and found that applying this concealer over the oil when the oil is just not quite absorbed makes blending worlds easier. Mineral foundation over the top. I have not experienced any creasing using this method. I dinged a star for the draggy texture, and for the cheap packaging. But the price really can 't be beat.

I bought this in yellow, I wear Cerave sunscreen and then primer and I feel the concealer doesn't stay put. It doesn't matter if I dab it on with a finger or a sponge, I have to apply a lot to get any sort of coverage and then I find the yellow shows through my foundation. It doesn't stay in place unless I heavily powder it, which makes the area look dry.

Okay, so I wasn't really expecting much from this concealer. I have used elf products before and honestly it can be a hit or miss with them, there is usually no in between. Well, this product is definitely a hit. I have extremely bad dark circles under my eyes. They are hereditary and VERY bad. I usually can't use really cheap concealers because the coverage is never enough. This elf cover everything concealer is amazeballs. It doesn't take much product at all to have completely full coverage, which I love because the more product you use, the cakier it can get. I will def be buying more of this just in case elf makes the mistake of pulling it. Also, I haven't had any issues with creasing because a) it only takes a light coat of it to cover and b) I use a translucent powder to set and bake my undereye. I def recommend this product to anyone who needs full coverage. :)

I've been buying this concealer for so long. For some reason I think the color light is my exact skin tone. (I'm fair skinned with very noticeably pink undertones). I wish that all of elf's foundation and similar products had the same color system as this concealer. I'd be buying "light" in everything. I find the best way to apply it is not to drag it but to pat/stipple it with your finger. I cannot recommend a concealer enough- especially for the price.

I hate concealer, I hate liquids. I'm a powder girl and usually it's quick and rare. I'm going into a career where I have to look good so I'm trying out different styles and brands of makeup because I am Irish/Scottish/Welsh and not many companies make makeup with pink undertones, a lot make me look dead or zombie like. Or really yellow which I loathe. I had purchased ELF cosmetics in the past, powder, eye makeup, simple stuff, but I saw this and figured I would give it a go. It was inexpensive. Other concealers that I have used have been greasy, or oily, and caused me to breakout in the same day, so I was a bit hesitant to try another brand. Well, I am glad I tried this. I had makeup sponges to use and the first time I used this for work I saw how easy it blended and to apply. It covered my acne great without any ill effects. There was no horrendous discoloration of my face. Then a few days later I applied it as a base for powder for a costume day at college. Even after several hours of being out and about and even sweating it looked well. Pair it with a slight dusting with the pressed powder, a little blush and light eye makeup, I was a perfect Belle for a wonderful day at school. No breakouts, no clogged pores. I am loving it! I used the light, and it worked great.
