Espree Aloe Herbal Fly Repellent Horse Spray 32oz

My mare is not a fan of fly spray and has had reactions to several other natural sprays on the market. She is not bothered by this spray at all and seems to even like the smell, and for a natural spray it works fairly well. I also like that I can use it on myself!

This works really well- I use it on my horse and dog at the barn and both seem to be fly free for a while. The smell is pleasant to us but not the pests. You do need to reapply after a couple of hours or working, but that's the case with any repellant.

Along with my mare lives her two other pasture buddies, one of which has very sensitive skin. So I've found water/oil based/organic repellents to be the best considering his issues. This fly spray never irritated their skin, but it did make them incredibly greasy to the touch. I understand it has oils in it so that's probably why, but it was very unpleasant. It also wasn't the most effective repellent either, the bugs would go away for 10-12 minutes and then be right back. Not my favorite.

This fly spray works great. On a trail ride we got caught in underground bees. My horse just stopped dead and would not move. We were in 100s of bees and my horse did not get stung once, because I used this fly spray. Me on the other hand got stunk 5 time

I was looking for a low-chemical fly spray that would keep my OTTB mare happy. After reading reviews for Espree, I was sold, so I jumped in head-first and bought a gallon. Pros: I like the smell & my mare hasn't had any adverse reaction to the ingredients. Cons: I haven't seen a noticeable decrease in her being bothered by the bugs after the spray is applied. At this point, I wouldn't purchase again.
