Eureka Optima Bagless Upright Vacuum

We had this item for four months and it has broken. This is a poor product when it worked it did alright but to die after four month of work is not acceptable. I do not recommend this product.

this sweeper has a very strong motor...picks up dirt great..very, very nice!

I just bought this vacuum today b/c my old one (not a Eureka) started pushing the dirt around the carpet. I'd originally set out to buy a different vac, but since my local Walmart was sold out of those, I decided to give this one a try. After all, the price was right! I had no troubles putting the thing together. However, while it picked up most of the crumbs that were on the carpet, it did not pick up any of the cat hair or lint! All it did was push the hair and lint around. I also thought the cord was way too short. I'm rather disappointed b/c my last Eureka was a pretty decent vacuum. I'm going to have to return this to the store after only one day of owning it, and try a different brand. It might be ok for people who don't have pets, but I can't recommend it for those that do. I've got two cats (one of which is a Maine Coon), and need something that can get that long fur up off the carpet.

the vac is very good for the price and value, its strong and reliable and can fit into any corner or closet. my only gripe is you have to dump it out alot or it will clog but its is way better than my last vac (Dirt devil)and thats the truth

First time I had purchased something and had it shipped to the store. No shipping charges. I'll definitely do this again. This vacuum was recommended to me by my daughter and I would certainly recommend it to everyone.
