***fast Track*** Fisher Price - Power Wh

We purchased this dune racer (in Orange) this past June for my sons birthday. He loves it! We already have a john Deere riding toy and that's great but we wanted a 2nd for our 2nd son. We found this for a great price of just over $200 plus free shipping of course and it's a hit. My oldest drives it well and we have rocks and hills and grass in our large back yard and it goes over the different terrain and little hills and dips in our yard really well. I was really surprised. The battery lasts longer than I expected for how ofte we use it. Just make sure you follow directions and charge it the first time like it says in the manual. And keep inside of its hot outside. Batteries done last long in the heat. My only con is the turn radius doesn't seem to be as good as our john Deere, you have to have a large area to turn around in or be able to 3 point turn it. Which my boys don't seem to mind doing. So that's the only improvement I would like to see on it. Otherwise directions were easy to follow to construct and it's very worth the $200 we spent on it. We have lots of get together a and all the kids love playing on all the riding toys we have. :) I would recommend.

Paid $238, free ship-to-store, came in on time about a week later. Big and pretty heavy - had to borrow my daughter's SUV to get it home. Took right at two hours to put it together, including applying stickers. Directions OK, no problems encountered, in my living room. Charged it for 18 hours as recommended. Had it about a month now, and I couldn't be happier with it. Best ride-on toy we've had yet, by far. Have 4 grandkids - one 5 yr old, two 3 yr olds, and one 2 yr old. It runs well on all kinds of terrain, MUCH better than I expected. Two kids can easily ride at a time, so that lessens the 'sharing' aruguments. And it will hold all 4 kids and still move out petty good. Only allow the 5 yr old to hit top gear though (5 mph) - the 3 yr olds aren't quite there yet. It handles pavement well - even spins the back tires when they take off. Handles the yard well, due to the power and kind of skinny tires. Never have run the battery totally down, even with an hour or more of straight driving - but I always charge it after each use as recommended. Overall, I honestly don't think there's anything out there that's as good for anywhere near the same price. In fact, as soon as I can figure out where to store another one, I'll get the green or pink one so they can all ride together - garage already has two classic cars in it, so not much space left for big toys for kids!

We have a Power Wheels Jeep for my daughter and we purchased the Dune Racer for my son because we have a limited amount of paved road to ride on. The way the tires are now made along with the motor drive assembly, the Dune Racer works just fine in wet soggy grass with no problems. the Jeep tires are too slick to provide traction in wet grass. Thinking about selling the Jeep off and buying a pink one for my daughter. If you have limited paved road. The Dune Racer actually does work in more of an off road or rock road setting.

This is a great ride-on car for my two boys. Assembly was straight-forward. Appears to be very good quality construction and it really looks cool. I got the orange version and it's a brighter orange than it appears in the pictures. It still looks really cool. The open cockpit design makes it much easier for the little guys to get in and out and there is much more room inside than the jeep-style cars. The big tires make it easy to go over bumpy terrain, rocks, small curbs, etc. Lot's of torque when they hit the gas so the kids had better be seated or they will fall out. There are no seat belts. One note: The little hub cap covers have small, fragile tabs so put these on LAST. The instructions tell you to put them on, then directs you to stand the car on its side to connect the steering column. Unfortunately, this means that you are resting on the caps so they can break as mine did on the front wheel. However, I think that the car looks better without the hub caps.

I bought this dune racer for my son for Christmas . Well its still Nov, but I thought that I'd go ahead and open it up and put it together. That way if I was missing any parts that we could replace before Xmas time. When I seen that it had a 3\4 in axle instead of 1/2 in that come with the smaller power wheels. I ordered two 16t 32p pinion gears two gt550 hip racing motor's and bought a 12 12ah battery and two 2v 6ah batteries. And a 40 amp breaker. After installing the motors and running the batteries in series and parallel to get 14v 12 ah battery pack this thing flys I have a 9 year old and a 5 year old riding together. With both boys riding in the grass I clocked the dune racer at 9 mph on the road with both boy riding it ran longer and at 12.8 mph it will climb any thing in its way which is crazy Cruz following them with me in my go kart I have to stop get out and pull my go-kart over the logs and rocks they just rolled right over. But it very strong but if you upgrade motors and or volts make shore your child nows to take off in low then shift on the fly that way the cheap plastic gears in the gearboxes don't shred. The turning isn't very tight but I got 6 acres in my back yard so we don't need to turn sharp. Its very strong and well built for fisher price. I wish I bought 2 of them your looking for a of road two sweater power wheels this is right for you trust me I've looked at a lot before I got the dune racer the only way to get anything with better quality is to spend $600
