Fellow - Ode Brew Grinder Gen 2 - Matte Black

I got this recently and it is the best grinder I have ever had. Very consistent grinds, looks great, and seems to be of very high quality construction. The BEST thing about it is that the grind choices go from zero to 11. For those of us who absolutely loved "This is Spinal Tap" this is the most important feature. If you don't get that, please, do yourself and the universe a favor and go watch that movie. Then re-read this review. In all seriousness, this is a great product, and I have numerous other Fellows products all of which I've been very happy with.

I have the gen 2 burrs. I upgraded from a Capresso Infinity. The improvement in my coffee's taste is shockingly large. I'm stunned. The machine is a joy to use. Interacting with it in the morning is a delight. The sound is mellifluous. I can feel the attention that went into the design, from the way the cup works, to the little lever to knock loose the last grounds. There are minds on the other side of this that love coffee and brewing coffee like I do, and they are communicating with me each time I use it.

got this about a week ago. Grinding is great, fast, and the non static feature on the cup also works wonders to keep the grinder from making a mess. I don't give it 5 starts because it has a lot of coffee retention. I've put 18 g of coffee and gotten 17 g afterwards.

Recently purchased this grinder, and have used it almost every day since purchased. I use it mostly for drip coffee with Moccamaster and pour-overs. I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of reviews before purchasing so was aware of minor issues/annoyances. It is well made, very sturdy. Issues are as most others have noted-- beans have jammed, but easily cleared by following instructions; do not like the wings on the grinds cup as they don't really work as designed, should just remove them; do not the placement of the on/off button, as it is easily inadvertently turned on in current location (should be on side or top); and agree on the too large plug, should have flat space-saver plug similar to the Moccamaster. Aside from the noted annoyances, it does provide a good grind. I could taste the difference in the coffee immediately. Overall, very happy with my purchase, looking forward to Gen 3. As a side note on Gen 3-- please just fix annoyances, don't overdesign.
