You want space saving and economical...this is it. I bought one prior and had it not been for my cats knocking it to the basement floor ( approx. 11 ft to concrete) mine would still be running today. Love it so much, I have ordered a new one. If you want to be dumb and order this for anything but LIGHT shredding...order something else. LIGHT means LIGHT. Great product for HOME USE ONLY. Much smaller cross cut than most. Close to small confetti. Very privacy oriented than most. Also...buy the oil to keep it running properly.

yes this shredder is small but it's a great compact shredder that fits our lifestyle. we just need to shred credit cards and occasional junk mail and other stuff with our personal info and it meets that need.

I got this for my mom. It works fine for light use. She said it is supposed to be oiled after every load. That seems like a lot, and not convenient, but probably worth it for keeping a light duty unit running. Anyway, it works for what she needs. Using Walmart to order & have delivered at her nearest store location worked very well.

This little shredder has exceeded my expectations. Because it is not battery operated, it has more power to do the job. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to keep your name and addresses out of the wrong hands and any other pertinent information that could be used improperly. Great little machine for the money. I keep it right by my dining room table on the floor so it is readily available. Not too heavy so it would be perfect for an older person who doesn't need anything heavy duty in shredding. Good gift because it is easy to dump basket.

The design of this is very nice. It is ideal for putting it right next to wherever you drop off mail when you first bring it into the house to shred. It however says clearly on the box "LIGHT USE" and they mean it. I had a lot of shredding held back to do and after the allotted 4 minute run time it stops working and requires about 5 minutes to cool down before you can use it again. They're also very serious about max of 4 folded pages in the shred size. I guessed an unopened envelope was small enough to put through (it turned out to be 6 or 7 pages) and it jammed up the machine. It no longer works. I plan to return it tomorrow. I am going to get another one to see if it was just excessive use at one time that caused the problem because I really like the design and price point, but so far I would not recommend the unit. :/
