Folgers Classic Roast Ground Coffee, Medium Roast, 11.3-Ounce

What gas changed? We have always liked Folgers Classic, but the last few months we have noticed that it no longer has a fresh coffee smell. The odor is ashy and once brewed has a weak coffee smell and a taste I can best describe as sawdust.

I am 85 years old..I have drank your coffee for over 50 years! First thing I do is turn on my coffee maker every morning to get my day going! Thank you for such a great coffee!!

Folger's has always been my go-to good coffee, because I loved the taste and could always depend on it. I try different kinds and enjoy some, but I know I can always come back to something reliable. I recently bought a small can last week and I do not recognize the taste as Folger's. It reminds me more of MH, which I do not enjoy. I see in replies from the company to these reviews that classic roast hasn't changed, but *something* has definitely changed. I thought I had made it too weak, so I made it stronger, but the overall taste is completely different, regardless of brew strength. The normal Folger's aroma during brewing is also completely absent.

I have been drinking Folgers coffee for 50 years. This new blend of cheap crap they're calling coffee tastes horrible. I am in no position to be throwing food or beverage out, but I have two full cans of Folgers Classic and I'm thinking about throwing them out and trying Dunkin' Donuts or Maxwell House. Anything is better than this. I guess it's back to Lipton tea for now.

Quality not the same in the last several years. Bitter nasty taste, noticed that the coffee beans are not uniformly ground. Historically the uniformity of Folgers ground coffee was consistent in granular size, these days there is a lot of coffee bean chunks. May need to change grinding knifes or screen for consistency. Of course quality control definitely wouldn't hurt.
