Good entry level unit. Bit of a learning curve, even with the full manual, but doable. Maps are a bit too big a scale and an audible tone would be nice but overall good for the price. Don't get impatient when using.

The directions stink but once you figure it out, it works really well. Even the online directions left me confused. I use it hiking, carry it in my pocket, and it picks up satellites under trees without a problem. If you walk in a loop it tells how many acres are in the loop and other stuff. Pretty cool.

Arrived quickly, well packaged. Great customer service. I like this GPS however I bought an etrex in 2001 and it had better documentation.

I'm going to use it on a big lake so I don't get lost when I'm on vacation. I tried it in 2 acres of woods and it work well. It only took a few minutes to figure out how to work it. It has a lot of features. U can watch how to use it on utube. For the price you can't beat it.

I have owned a month, so I guess I can review. I really like this, and wished I had gotten one sooner. Having said that, if you're accustomed to capacitive touch screens and the like, you may get frustrated. As others have said, the manual is basically worthless. There are some YouTubes which help. You have to just use it for a couple of hikes and you'll get the hang of it, if you don't get frustrated first. The interface is unlike any I have used, but now that I can get around I like it better the more I use it.
