GE PDT825SGJBB 24 Inch Built-In Dishwasher with 16 Place Settings

This Dishwasher Rocks!!! The features are amazing, such as Zone Washing, 140 Jets, Silverware Jets, Tall Glass Jets, Side Jets, very quiet, upper rack height adjust to allow for taller items in the upper rack or to allow more room for taller items in the lower rack, top door controls that can still be seen without opening the washer, a small rectangle LED that changes from yellow to green when the washer is still in use or is completed, and a nice durable handle, instead of just a latch to open the door.

This is a replacement for a unit which worked for about 5 years. When the previous unit failed we bought an identical unit...obviously upgraded with 5 years of mechanical changes. It works just fine an we are confident it won't fail. However, consider a repair policy.

We recently purchased a new home which came equipped with a dishwasher from another manufacturer. That dishwasher was very noisy and the drying cycle was inadequate. We decided to replace that dishwasher with the Profile. It is absolutely perfect in every aspect.

This is the second dishwaher of the same line. We installed the first in a kitchen remodel. It failed after 5 years. One of the two pumps quit. It could have been repaired however that cost was a few hundred dollars less than purchasing a new one so we went with the new one. Time will tell if we made a good decision. If it fails within 5 years, nope.

We've only had our GE Profile dishwasher for a couple months, but so far, so good. It washes the dishes w/o having to rinse or scrub them first. Takes FOREVER, but I feel confident they're clean. Love the bottle spraying option. Love the dedicated silverware sprayers. Love the 3-part split silverware bin that allows me to use 1,2, or 3 sections to make room for other things. Love sanitizing during cold ‘n flu season. Love “steam” cycle when someone in the house is sick to prevent spread of germs. It's a shame you have to pay so much money for a DW that actually does its job, thus the rating of 4.
