Here's the deal with me, I love spaghetti and I make incredible meat sauce and can break it down and freeze it into family portions. Or I can take it to Church for a fund raiser dinner . Any way if all you need is 4 qt , put in 4 quarts of ingredients. If 6 load 6 and SoOn.

we purchased this and have used it for a week, the whole side was dented in easily from normal use. it also cooks really hot for a slow cooker, we've used one for 20 years.. I had to adjust the recipes. I'm not impressed so far but maybe it will come through for many years to come?

Love the large size. The only problem is that it seems to be made of a light weight material and the lid does not always seal properly. I have had several instances where the steam escaped from the lid and dripped water down into the base and the sides.

Fantastic size great price. The insert is huge too. I've had their 6 qt for 1 0 years and it has never failed me but I need to make more quantities for freezing for future meals my husband and I don't eat prepared foods every day so this one works wonder and I still have my 6 qt. too. Seniors don't eat as much as they did maybe about 50% and making big meal and freezing in individual packaging is not only economical but saves on wasting food.

Works as it should. But the outside gets EXTREMELY HOT!!! If you have the crockpot on high, you can not touch the outside or you will get burned. I'm not sure if I maybe have a dud, or if this is how it's made. But it's for sure a safety concern. But other then that it cooks as it should!
