[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality equipment. I had to replace a lesser trim nailer and went with this one. I have borrowed this model before so I decided to get for myself. So far it hasn't had any issues and works great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I added Metabo's 2 1/2" 16 gauge nailer to the woodshop so I could fabricate a beam for the Mancave. I am not dissapointed. This is hard hitting, driving the nails just under the surface through two softwood 2x10s' and no missfires. I'll use it for fabrication of a truck bed platform with storage for future overlanding with the grandchildren. Hitachi, now Metabo makes quality tools which have never didappointed me through the years.
I bought this nailer to help with my hardwood flooring installation project. I had read a number of positive reviews about this nailer and have had positive results with Hitachi tools in the past. The decision to buy Hitachi was simple. Great quality, great price and great results. I highly recommend this tool!
After buying my 16 gauge finish nailer several months ago, I have used it quite frequently on a number of different types of projects. In use I found that I got the best results by maintaining the manufacturer's advised air pressure. By doing this, I obtained very good results in sinking the nails. Before doing this the nails would either not sink all the way and I would have to go back with a hammer or they would sink to far into the wood and there-by damaging the surface of my project.
I've owned the 18 ga. Hitachi nailer for about 5 years but I needed to trim out some windows outside with a little thicker material to cover old metal siding so I got this 16 ga. and it performs very well. I attached 3/4" boards over 3 layers of old siding with no problem at all using 2 1/2" nails. This is a very reliable tool that I wish I had purchased long ago.
