Jack Black Cooling Post Shave Gel, 3.3 Oz

The Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel is a satisfying product that feels good overall after shaving. The only drawback to the product is the sort of "sticky" feeling that it leaves after using. Perhaps that is the nature of gels. Personally I prefer the more clean and smooth unsticky feeling of a cream based post shave cooling product.

I am no longer afraid of shaving close because I have Post Shave Cooling Gel. It soothes and cools the saving areas of my face and neck. Additionally, if I get a cut or scrape it stops the bleeding and helps to heal the cut or scrape. I have used other after save products before but none of them have been as effective and efficient as Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel with Aloe, Sage and Lavender. Wow! No wonder it is so good!!!!!!!

I've used this post-shave gel for many years. I recently purchased a new bottle (online) and am very disappointed. It seems the formula has been changed, and I'm not a fan of the new one. The light, lavender scent has been replaced by one that is rather "medicinal". The gel itself seems lighter now, and neither hydrates nor cools as well as the original. It may be better than using nothing post-shave, but I won't purchase this product again.

My main concern about my skincare routine was the part where I shave. Using standard, normal store bought shaving cream alone would cause my skin to become irritated, bumpy, and I would sometimes get razor burns/ cuts. I bought Jack Black Face Buff WITH the post shave cooling gel and my shaving days have improved INCREDIBLY. the post shave gel leaves my skin smooth, with no cuts, redness, or sting that any other after shave would give you. I highly recommend !

Did not work as advertised. After shaving, I expect it to sooth and to help calm my face but it just did not live up to the hype. The scent is somewhat pleasant (lavender) but it just felt like I was applying pure aloe vera gel with a scent. For the price I expected more. After reading the ingredients I decided to buy Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Gel, and use my cologne. The minimalist ingredients worked out better for me, the witch hazel gently disinfected and left my skin feeling clean, the aloe helped calm my redness, and a drop of my cologne left me ready for work. I don't know if its the glycerin or other stuff that elevates the price or reduces the effectiveness but the price needs to drop or you need to add more witch hazel and aloe and less of the other stuff.
