Janome Purple Majesty Easy-to-Use Mechanical Sewing Machine

I bought this machine for two reasons. 1 - I wanted something simple and easy to use. I am not a beginner to sewing machines but find the more complicated ones a pain. 2 - I loved the color. I didn't want a plain white one.

I have only owned one brand of sewing machine over the years and eas skeptical that I would actually like a different brand but I was wrong! This Janome machine is a high quality great sewing machine. I've been sewing for over 40 years and have never felt the need for a high end sewing machine. I basically sew household items and make garments and this Janome machine can handle all of this wonderfully. The sewing machine is heavy duty and not flimsy which I really like. It has all the features I will ever need for my sewing needs. 15 stitches and honestly I will never use all of them! I basically use straight and zig zag stitches all the time but it is nice to have the additional stitches. It comes with the basic accessories but I never end up using the blind hem accessory. My basics are the regular sewing foot and the buttonhole foot. The machine is easy to thread and the bobbin is easy to insert and I like that the machine has instructions for this in the flip down cover for it. This machine also has a free arm on it which is great for sewing sleeves, etc. Overall this is not just a great beginner machine, it is a great sewing machine period. I highly recommend this Janome machine whether you are just starting out sewing or have been sewing for years.

Im a brand new sewer and this is my first machine. I can not even explain how excited I am to have tthisfirst thing to catch my eye is that this sewing my machine says "beginner" in the title and that is exactly what I need. The second thing I noticed was the color, hello! So cute! And third was the size. Growing up I remember church ladies having these huge machines with desks attached and all kinds of things I didn't and don't understand. This machine came with extra needles, a few bobbins, a seam ripper, a few extra feet that i soon will know what to do with. It came with a n instruction manual and theres also a ton of YouTube videos specifically for this machine. Ive watched them all and they are such a huge help! The machine did not come with thread but that was an easy and quick trip to walmart. Between the videos and easy to read manual I got the machine threaded, my bobbin threaded And installed and Ive fixed a couple shirts, made a purse, and Im going to work on a quilt. All from a person who has never sewn until a few weeks ago. I havent found anything negative with this sewing machine but Ive found lots of potential and this brand seems to make a quality product. The parts of the machine are metal and sturdy. This definitely isn't a child's toy. With the built in 15 stitches to choose from with easy to see and use dials.. By the way....I only have one eye and if I can do this anyone can.

The first thing I noticed about this sewing machine was how heavy it was. They say it is heavy duty on the box and it is. I was a little disappointed that it had no bobbins, or thread, but a trip to Walmart was all it took to get what I needed. The stitch selection is so easy to change, and it has 15 built in selections to choose from. The stitch length is also easily adjustable. The lever for reverse is also very easy to use. It has a built in bobbin loading guide that is front loading. You also get an extra high Pressor foot lift. The foot lift has four accessories which are Zigzag, Buttonhole, Zipper, and Blind Hem. The Janome Sewing Machine also comes with a 25 year warranty which is unheard of these days. The instruction booklet is loaded with everything you need to get started, especially if you are a beginner, and if you need more help they also have a 1-800 number and a You Tube Video that will easily explain to you how to use this wonderful machine. I used the word "EASY" a lot in my review, but it is on the box, "Easy to Use" and they are 100% right. By the way I am a beginner, and I have already sewed a school Emblem on my son's jacket and hemmed his school pants. That is why this sewing machine was given the review title "Making me Look Like a Pro" I highly recommend this machine beginner or pro.

I love the Easy-to-Use Janome Arctic Crystal Sewing Machine! First, I really like the fun teal color. Gets me in the mood to make fun stuff! The sewing machine came packaged in a sturdy box surrounded by Styrofoam, so no worries about any damage during shipping with this one. Just three items come with the box. The sewing machine, power cord/pedal and instruction book. The sewing machine has a handle on the top that makes it easy to transport. Not too heavy to carry from one room to another. The sewing matching is so easy to use. I have used sewing machines before, but never a Janome. No worries, it is like riding a bike, everything is in the same place. Threads the bobbin the same & threads for sewing are in the same place and work the same way as any other sewing machine. Both easy to use and also has picture instructions in the manual if you forget. It comes with a needle in place and a plastic bobbin in the bobbin cartilage. The arm pops out like most sewing machines and stored inside there in a white plastic case are three more bobbins, needles for the sewing machine, extra foots for different sewing (a special one for button holing) and a seam ripper. It sews nice and tight – no adjustment needed at all. What I especially liked about it is that the pedal is not sensitive. It allows for a nice controlled sewing rhythm. This has enough features to do everything that you would need. It is so easy to use that this Janome easy to use Artic Crystal sewing machine is great for a beginner or moderate sewer. I have one in my closet that I got years ago thinking I was going to dive into it but it has too many options for me and the Janome is the perfect type of sewing machine for me. I like to mend and sew fun stuff, toddler clothes for my nieces, aprons, tote bags, etc. In fact, I plan to make totes for my sisters Christmas. Something especially handmade from me. I hemmed jeans today and it sewed just great over the thicker folded jean fabric on the edges. I am also in the process of making the fun Christmas tote bags with some fun material patterns. It does all of the basic things like zigzag, decorative trim, straight stitch, basting, buttonholing, etc. I can do so many projects with this fun & easy machine! I can't think of anything bad to say about it. Definitely a great sewing machine!
