JVC Everio GZ-MG230 Digital Camcorder, 2.7" LCD Screen, 1/6" CCD, SD

We did alot of research before we bought a camcorder and we definitely chose the right one. The quality is great, and there is no storage media to mess around with. We upload everything to our computer and if we want, burn them onto DVD's. So easy to use!

Easy to both use and transfer to computer, and decent battery life (so far). Good average item for the parent who wants to tape the big moments but doesn't walk around with it permanently attached to its eye. We are the target audience for this product: kids, events, and far-flung family who would like to see it. Really easy to transfer to computer.

I got this camcorder because the price was right, but I was very surprised with the results. It is small, perfect for a carry-on bag. The quality of the video is excellent. Even the videos I shot out of the window of the plane at 35,000+ feet were very good.

Like this camcorder so far. Only complaints I can think of are the LCD does not swivel and the lens cover is manual. Though the manual lens cover could be a plus since I don't have to worry about it breaking so much. Good (not great) picture quality. Camcorder is very small (fits in our old still camera bag, even with all wires). Battery life isn't to good but I kind of expected that. Definitely good for the price as long as it holds up.

I absolutely love this product. The internal hard drive was the major selling point for me. It is easy to use, and getting files on the computer is as easy as I have ever seen. I do have one thing, though, that bothers me. I uploaded some videos to youtube, but the videos were in the wrong format, and I had to convert them. This was not overly difficult, and it is probably just me that made an error when recording. I have no idea what or how I would have done anything wrong. Bottom line is that I am pleased with my purchase and would reccomment to anyone.
