Kellogg's All-Bran Original Breakfast Cereal 18.3 oz

I eat raisin bran often so I thought I would try something different.The flavor is in my opinion stronger than the flakes and the texture is very different but also pleasing.The same cereal can get old so if you like the taste of bran and need a change, try this ALL BRAN and my bet is you will like it.

I have seen this cereal in the stores for some time. I enjoy the taste of bran, but was not sure about trying this item due to its appearance. I also like shredded wheat. However the picture on this box made me think of loose shredded wheat that someone forgot to form correctly. I took the plunge and tried the All Bran. Surprisingly (or not), I really do like it! The texture is a little different and causes you to chew a little longer…which proves to be satisfying relative to appetite. Adding fruit (raisins, banana, strawberries, etc.) adds to the pleasure of eating this really healthy cereal. I have looked forward to this breakfast item every morning since opening the box. I even ate some for a light/late dinner before bed. This is a staple that I will be sure to keep on hand.

A lot of cereals make changes when new, younger management comes in, and not always in a good way. Then new management doesn't realize the cereals were so popular because they tasted good. Some add sugar. Some take the sugar away. Some add so many different colors and flavors that the taste is not nearly as good as it was in the beginning. All Bran didn't make that mistake. Their product is reliable. It's still a little rough on the taste buds in the beginning, but as soon as the milk and bran unite, it tastes just fine. They've left the sugar up to individual tastes, and it's still so good for the body.

I was so surprised by the delicate grain taste this cereal has – it's not at all like cardboard as one would expect from a high fiber cereal. It went wonderfully with sliced bananas and I can't wait to try it with strawberries and other fresh fruits. The appearance is somewhat odd, but it's easy to chew and swallow. There's a lot of fiber in this cereal, so paying attention to the serving size is prudent. I'm also thinking about adding it to some of my homemade baked goods – the kids would never know they were eating healthy fiber. I think the amount of cereal you get in the box is a very good value, too.

I have some bowls that have measurement on the inside and about all I use the small one for, is cereal. The Kellogg's All-Bran Original cereal is especially great for those that need more fiber in their diet. I pour about 1/2 cup of Kellogg's Original All Bran, into a bowl with milk and some times I add fruit. It does a fantastic job keeping me 'regular'. If something doesn't taste good, I don't eat it no matter how great it is for me. This cereal tastes GREAT! It's not flakes and it doesn't wilt in milk. It's not overly crunchy so it's great for those that have sensitive teeth. I'll be purchasing this cereal over others now but also going to try their new 'Bran Buds' as it sounds excellent too.
