The cupcake and frosting are delicious! However it is quite unpleasant to eat a perfectly fluffy moist cupcake and then be interrupted with the lemon zest. It doesn't taste good and is unpleasant texture wise in contrast with fluffy cupcake softness. I was able to get most of it off with a knife, but still had unpleasant chewy chunks. These would be perfection if that stuff was left off.

I like lemon desserts, so I was glad to see these. The cupcake was good - light and moist. Another reviewer commented there was a pudding filling. Mine had no pudding filling, but the cake was good. They're also attractive. But what ruined them was the taste of the frosting. Definitely tastes like it's made with shortening with no resemblance to buttercream whatsoever. That makes the frosting gross in my opinion. I won't buy them again or recommend them.
