This Port-A-Cool machine is barely producing cool air. I need to return it and plan to do so within 30 days. The manufacturer and Walmart should test this machine. You will find that there is only a tiny bit of coolness coming the machine. Very disappointed.
We live in the desert and use window units in our most-used rooms. We also had a humidifier that we used in our bedroom to add some moisture to the air. This unit replaced both. The unit seems a little on the noisy side at first, but we got used to it. We like that we can move it easily from our bedroom to our living room. Just move it before you fill the water reservoir. We have had to mop up spills a few times. The only negative thing I would say is that the "drawer" you put the water in is too small and you need to pour slowly and wait while the water filters into the reservoir. Also hopefully when it runs out of water, it isn't in the middle of the night because the sensor beeps very loudly. We bought the unit at a great price and would consider buying it again.
I wanted to like this and keep it but my room was too small for it. It does blow out cool air even without using the evaporative cooling and I tested it at nearly 100 degrees outside. I only gave it a three star because I wasn't able to keep it:( In picture it looks more like a table top size unit but its not... its huge, it almost stood to my waist and I'm a little over 5'4". but it does works as describe and I was able to return it at a nearby Walmart store without any issues.
This cooling unit does blow out cool air. However it does not cool a 145 sq.ft. room any better than an 18 inch regular fan. If you are standing in front of the KuulAire you will feel cooler air, however for the price it should cool down a 200 sq ft room as stated. It also has a strange order when in use. I will be returning it and most likely use the money towards an air conditioner to be installed in a window.
THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT DOES. i AM RETURNING MINE BACK AND GETTING A REFUND BUCAUSE IT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS ITS SUPPOSE TO DO. IT DOES NOT COOL A SINGLE ROOM.
