My family bought me this e-reader for Mother's Day. I charged it up before I used it. It seemed to work great until it needed to be charged again. After the 2nd charge, it wouldn't stay on. It would make a popping sound and shut off. Obviously a faulty product. I brought it back to the store and got a refund right away.

I got this tablet as a gift for my 16 yr old son, his laptop had went down, and I could not afford a new one, or pay for repairs. I asked my son to read about the Coby tablet as a temporary replacement. I have to say, I'm glad we made the purchase, he says he doesn't need a laptop now. My son mostly used his laptop to play music, viewing YouTube and socializing on Facebook. He can do all that on the Coby tablet.

Highly recommended! My 10 year old is an avid reader and gamer. This suffices for both without the price tag of larger tablets. This tablet was the right size for casual use. Battery life could be improved. I rooted it and installed more useful Android apps on advice from phase3d on YouTube, and I'm glad I did. Whether or not you leave it stock or root it to get more use out of it, be sure and install a task killer to help conserve battery life. This unit is solidly built and well worth the money.

I’ve had my tablet for 2 weeks now. I saw the HSN promo and it was really impressive and checked Amazon and there it was at a great price, so I ordered it from Amazon. Even Walmart's price is good. I must admit it took me a couple of days and tons of patience to figure out how it works. I even performed the “Factory Data Reset” a few times because I thought I messed it up when I couldn’t get a wifi signal, couldn’t open the apps lib, I was able to see the pictures and music that I dragged from my pc to the device yet I couldn’t see my epub books etc. But after researching Coby 7015 online there was so much information to help me solve my issues. One recommendation was to get a micro sd card (you NEED one; I bought a 4gb at Walmart for $13) and then I was able to get my ebooks onto the card from my pc and see them on the tablet. You also have to have a strong wifi signal to connect to the internet. At home my laptops can pick up unsecured networks (low signal) but the tablet will connect but won’t hold it for too long. Some suggestions – Be sure to read the enclosed manual. Go into the Coby website which gives you the firmware & apps update (I couldn’t open the apps library but after I updated it was fine) - http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=10498&pcat_id=1013 Here is a website to check out for advice – http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/coby-tablets/ and if you want to root your tablet (I am considering it but I don’t think I need it.) YouTube has this demonstration - Coby Kyros Android Tablet MID7015 Step by Step [HD]; I downloaded from the Apps Library (lots of apps available!) Adobe for my PDF files and Microsoft Office 30 day Trial (The reset deleted it a couple of times and when I downloaded it again it started back at 30 days, so I assume before the 30 days are up I can delete and restart) for my Excel and Word files. Definitely get these apps – Antivirus, Infinity Browser (you can type text and it speaks what you typed!! How cool is that!!). I cannot record my yahoo email addy on the Email feature (I believe if you root it you can) but I go into Yahoo & Gmail anyway to check & send emails so it’s not a big deal. Flash Player does not work on mine also. My son sends me video (.MOV format) and it’s not recognized. I wanted the IPAD but couldn’t dish out the money and my coby does exactly what I need plus it’s small to fit in my pocketbook. I’ve read a lot of bad reviews (don’t understand why there are so many) but I’m happy I made this purchase. Thanks to all the people who took the time to share their experience and knowledge online. It helped me ALOT. I love my tablet.
