I really like this toy...I use it in my practice a lot with toddlers. The bright colors and large pieces are visually enticing and they are easier for little hands to hold. This toy helps with learning primary colors and also provides a hand strengthening activity. The bugs are also numbered so your little one can start learning how to count!! A lot of uses for this one particular toy. My only con about this toy is that the container seems to be a wee bit too small and it can be quite frustrating to put them away nicely. So many times I'm also teaching my small patients how to "clean up" and this toy is not the one I grab to teach that skill because of the difficulty in getting the pieces into the container and the top on easily. Otherwise...GREAT TOY!!

My son loves to play with these fun bugs. They are a good addition to his learning and activity time. The colors are bright and fun. He likes to be able to snap them apart and put them back together. It is a good way to help them learn numbers. This is a great toy to help your child use their hands and creativity. These would be great for a day care or classroom. They also store well in the cute bucket that they came in. They snap together easily and come apart just as simple. The size is perfect for little hands. My lil man lit up the first time I took them out of the container. He is a very hands on little guy so this is perfect for him to play with. They are also good when trying to teach colors to your child. I was impressed with them and would recommend them to any parent for their children. They are a great way to keep them occupied and still be learning at the same time. Great Quality also. They are fun and portable so you can take them with you when you travel.

I find these snap n learn number bugs for kids within 3 to 6 years of age, simplistic yes but I do find making the game fun, interactive with parents and getting the kids to remember numbers through animals. Sometimes kids don't always pick up on speech, or flashards or even work books especially that younger age so I do like the animals numbers and the learning activity. The colors are bright, the toys are easy to handle and read and easy to clean with a damp cloth they are as good as new. Pros: nice case bucket for easy storage or carrying these into the car and daycare. I try to give the kids quizzes such as find me this number, which animals has that number to keep mind stimulated. The only thing that could be a a con is with the huge attraction into electronics the kids seem to not be intrested for long period of time, short attention spans with only about 45 minutes to one hour of fascination.

I thought they were silly and useless. Little girl did not. The jar to keep them in is a great help:) you get a bunch of separate bodies and heads. I bought them for children eight years apart in age so they would have something to do together. I think he thought they were silly too until he saw her playing with them. Then after she moved on to something else he gathered them all in the jar and put them up. He even made a little joke about not wanting to explain missing numbers:) (heads, missing numbers would be missing heads)

The Learning Resources Snap-n-Learn Number Bugs. I found this learning toy appropriate for those within the age category of 4 to 6. The colors are vibrant and the numbers are large enough to recognize. The small dots on the body of the bugs are small and can be overly frustrated cause they are so small! Working on hand and eye coordination for children between the ages of 5 to 6 might be more appealing! They seem to have more patience. This is a great activity for a parent, teacher to work one on one with an age of 5 through 6 years of age! Snapping the correct number of dots to the head of the bug is a task that the child might needs some assistance from the educator if eye and hand coordination is not properly established! But using cause and effect of putting together and taking apart seemed more enjoyable with a five year old! A child with more control of patience and hand and eye coordination is able to complete this task, after several times, of trying another colored bug! I love the ideal that colors are recognized with an younger child (5yrs) Putting the favorite colors in the bug catcher, is very appealing and the one less favored colors are left out! One would even choose a color and name their lady bug with a favorite name, and introduce their new pet! Overall I find this is an activity that is one that an older child age of 6 with patience of recognizing numbers, and can count the dots, and knowing the colors from the bugs body colors match! Over all this is a great learning tool for those children with number recognition and eye and hand coordination are achieved!
