I'm very pleased with the Super R-Lipoic Acid. I could feel it working almost immediately, with a noticeable increase in energy and mental clarity. Within days I also experienced increased regularity. I've been taking 2 capsules first thing in the morning, before eating, and after a month's use I feel years younger!

It is very difficult for me to say that a single nutrient has been effective and beneficial to me. I haven't performed any baseline or current tests to definitively prove this. Another factor is that I use a multimodal approach when it comes to my health. Two is to have a good diet (I also do the daily extended fasting), especially limiting simple carbs and sugars, and three is to do exercise (Protocols that Life Extension advocates). However, I can say without any doubt that my life has changed for the better since I have been taking products from Life Extension. I am more energetic, not as prone to the cold as others and feel more happy overall. I believe they have everyone's best interests at heart to live a longer and more productive life.

I purchase the Super R-Lipoic Acid regularly because it's such a necessity. It's actually one of the few supplements I can name that you can actually FEEL going to work when you take it. Several years ago I was diagnosed with Type-II diab. I was not content to follow the AMA protocols and my body could not tolerate the standard prescription. So I did quite a bit of reading on the LifeExtension web-site about diab. I chose Super R-Lipoic Acid from the list recommended supplements. It would reduce my blood sugars by about 10 and reduce the nerve damage in my feet caused by those sugars. My feet no longer have the numbness and hypersensitivity in the toes. This product is one of my gotos when I relapse into bad habits. As a side issue my podiatrist was treating a ganglion nerve by sclerosing it with 4 % alcohol. I asked if the Lipoic acid would counteract the procedure. She said that it would not, and went further to say, that lipoic acid is very good for nerve health in the feet and I should continue to use it.
