We've had two of these units and neither one would charge. The first unit would not work at all. The second unit worked for one battery cycle. You're supposed to be able to place the device in its charger but the second one needed to be pushed against the charging points. Even then, it would randomly lose connection. Even after hours of showing it was charged, the device would not turn on. We're done with Lively and going with another system.
The registration web site is very difficult to use, and I had to contact support because the web site would not activate the device. Also, we manage a second device and have not been able to use the same email to manage the second device, even after contacting support. We had to use a different email to manage the other device. the device does work well.
The device is great and just what we needed for my FIL who loves alone. But, getting it set up and attached to his existing Lively account was a confusing process. Customer service at for activation at the company is lacking - at one point the rep hung up on us in the middle of asking questions. Once we got ahold of a new rep who knew how to clearly explain the process we were able to get it set up correctly. Customer service when using the device is fantastic, though!
Very reasonable and works well. Easy to set up. Had owned one for years before this one, but had a problem with the charger. Lively offered to send a replacement. We canceled subscription at that time but decided we needed one so bought the new kit as it was cheap enough.
The purchase process was easy. Curbside pickup in and out in less than 5 minutes. The product is for a relative dealing with multiple health issues who prefers to stay in her place. Because we used an AARP discount we were unable to do the setup through the website. Signing up by phone took a lot longer than I expected. 20-30 minutes. The product is larger and heavier than I think it should be, and does not seem very rugged. So far no problem. For usage I think the wrist band version might be better for some people because of the size/weight may hinder sleep and make it uncomfortable during the day
