It's ok. Needed lamps for guest room. I ordered 2. They screw together in sections and the lamp shade is plastic. Had to take one back because one of the areas where it screws together is stripped out. Target.com has some similar lamps for less than $10. It's just a cheap lamp, for occasional use.

I love this lamp, so much better value for the price. It is plastic, but doesn't look cheap at all. This design is unique though with the shape closing in, I actually like this shape. I had bought another one with shape opening like a flower, and when I set it up, it was blocking my picture on the wall. That one was for $21. This lamp I bought was for $13, and its unique design doesn't block the frames on my wall. Another thing it is very bright. I have it one corner and it brightens up the whole room. I am just using the bulb it came with.

I had been pricing out floor lamps as our living room needed more light in the evening; I had been pricing out at different locations and the best price I could find was $22. I picked this up this lamp on clearance for $5 and it not only met my expectations, but exceeded it. I put in a 60 watt bulb (purchased separately) and it brightens up the room more than the 2 table lamps and 1 overhead lamp, so it will save money in the long run. It is also sleek, utilitarian and unobtrusive. While not by any means a focal point in the room, it brings to light other focal points.

This lamp is very plain and simple, but that's all we were looking for. We had no overhead light in our room and one poorly placed window, so our bedroom can be a bit dungeon-ish. We were looking for something cheap and simple to light the whole room. This lamp does the trick and for the price, you can't beat it. If you are looking for a beautiful lamp to add to your room's decor, I'd look to spend a bit more money. But if you're just looking for something simple and cheap, with the ability to light a whole room, this lamp is definitely the one! I'm so impressed with how much lighting this one-bulb lamp provides!

I read other reviews before ordering & I differ with the reviews stating that the bonus bulb was bright. It cast a yellowish light so I replaced it with a daylight bulb, same wattage, but with a white light. I ended up with an additional cost, but the lamp is attractive with a small footprint which is exactly what I needed.
