Going through my third bucket. Wanted to find something high in omega 3s for my girls joints, weight and coat. Many other brands sell flax but it is flaxmeal, where the good oils are already gone. So good for protein but not for fat. My girl is very picky but I've been able to add a cup to her food. It is decently economical thought you need to do 7× to 8× more than the serving size for weight gain I think. Fellow boarder has been feeding to her underweight picky mare as well with no problem. Won't be switching to another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to mix in this flaxseed meal with my horses' sweet feed especially in the winter time. The additive makes their coat thicker, softer, and shinier usually within about a week's time. I like to do it in the winter time as we live in the south and don't blanket them unless the temperature gets in the 40s. The horses don't seem to notice the addition and we have never had any GI issues with it. Highly recommend to give your horse that show horse shine.
