We ordered this travel system to replace our Safety First car seat and snap-and-go stroller base. We found the pros of the car seat to be: - accommodates up to 29" babies - easy adjustable straps - easy buckle fastening We found the cons of the car seat to be: - HOT; whatever the fabric is makes my son very, very warm - heavier than our previous car seat - poor attachment of the shade at the back of the car seat and the shade is on the smaller side We found the pros of the stroller to be: - decent-sized carrying compartment - stands alone when folded We found the cons of the stroller to be: - a bit cumbersome to open and close, that process definitely needs some getting used to - very rough ride even on sidewalks

The Maxi-Cosi Kaia and Micro XT travel system is both a stroller and a car seat. The box that it comes in is huge. You'll need plenty of storage space if you don't plan on using it right away. The stroller is nice and light but with it comes the cost of feeling slightly flimsy. It'll go over small bumps and curbs but the wheels are too small for any other roadblocks. The wheels swivel easily and gives the stroller a nimble feel. It folds up to a very portable package, but getting it to fold is not easy. You have to pull up on the latch and and use your foot at the same time. The brake system is an interesting concept, one pedal for brake and the other to release. There is a cup holder at the top of the handlebar, but water bottles are prone to fall out. There is a helpful hook on the other handlebar for any purses or loose bags. The basket adds plenty of storage but I wish I could access it from the back. There is plenty of padding on the seat and the black fabric hides any spills nicely. Overall, I would recommend this system if you are looking to stroll around town.

The 'Maxi-Cosi Kaia/Mico Nxt 3-in-1 Travel System' comes simply contained in a huge box approx 50 + lbs. If you have the option for free delivery use it! The box weighs close to 50 lbs so if you are picking it up, bring some help. You receive both products in separate boxes inside the huge box. The car seat can be detached to go into the stroller, very easily. As your child grows, the stroller accommodates and will carry a child up to 50 pounds in weight. Which is always a concern when my baby was 10.5 lbs at birth!!! . The system seems lightweight, durable, well made. It can be used up until the child is approx 4-5yrs old. Fabric wipes clean with a damp cloth or baby wipe ! For Assembly, just attach the front and rear wheels to the stroller,. Very simple. It also comes with a cup holder! The travel system locks easily with one step on either brake. The stroller has some of the best safety features. The stroller also has multiple reclining positions, which I love. It keeps baby comfortable . The basket area underneath is large enough to hold a good deal of items. The stroller folds up quickly for travel and storage.

This arrived in a gigantic box (be forewarned!) but once you get it out and pop everything into place, it's pretty light-weight (all things considered) and easy to use. It also looks sleek like its more up-market competitors which is great. We live in the city and it's easy to navigate around. However, I must note that I'm around 5'0'' tall, and the handles could've been a tad bit lower to accommodate those of us who are shorter!

This is a little different than others I have seen the stroller holds the car seat so you can strap the child in really safely . The car seat is very light no overload in your arms if you carry the child out of the vehicle in the car seat. The wheels turn good no sticking . There is a type of basket beneath the stroller to carry items you may need. I am not sure it works better than stroller , car seats I used in the past but it sure is more compact. The folding and unfolding works simply and takes very little room in the vehicle. The bright red color is easy to see and wash spills off .The belts hold efficiently.
