We ordered this travel system to replace our Safety First car seat and snap-and-go stroller base. We found the pros of the car seat to be: - accommodates up to 29" babies - easy adjustable straps - easy buckle fastening We found the cons of the car seat to be: - HOT; whatever the fabric is makes my son very, very warm - heavier than our previous car seat - poor attachment of the shade at the back of the car seat and the shade is on the smaller side We found the pros of the stroller to be: - decent-sized carrying compartment - stands alone when folded We found the cons of the stroller to be: - a bit cumbersome to open and close, that process definitely needs some getting used to - very rough ride even on sidewalks

Received this from Wal-Mart, and could not be happier to have received such a great travel system. Was very easy to put together, took about 10-15 minutes. Have used other travel systems in the past, and this stroller is a lot lighter and more compact when folded, which is great for transferring it in and out of the car. The base was easy to install in the car, very similar to other manufacturers. Connected easily with straps to brackets in the car. The car seat itself appears to be well made, padded for baby's comfort, and easy to secure/release strap restraints are a major plus. Very easy to click into the base and removal is just as easy once you reach your destination. To find the instruction booklet for the infant seat, reach under the padding on the front left (baby's right) of the seat. You'll find a booklet about 2/5 by 4 inches with detailed instructions and diagrams. Despite the diminished powers of concentration and patience which a new baby and sleep deprivation can cause, force yourself to read the whole thing because there are several installation options for the carseat, not all of which will work with your vehicle, so you will need to do a little research with this booklet side by side with your owner's manual to determine the best installation option for you, and even whether this seat will work with your car. You can install using (some ) seatbelts, using the LATCH system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) if your car is so equipped, and with or without the base. There is no skipping doing your homework, I'm afraid, but when you're done, you're done. There will also be some trial-and-error as you adjust the restraints to the size of your baby. The seat removes easily enough from the base. While the rear-facing carseat can only be used for infants up to 22 pounds, the sturdy stroller will accommodate a child up to 50 pounds. It is a mite heavy but very sturdy and folds/unfolds easily. As another reviewer mentioned, there is ample space beneath for storage of extra clothes, baby blankets, etc. or for modest shopping excursions with baby. Adjusts easily to different positions for your child's comfort, and like the child seat, comes with an adjustable sun canopy. Wheels move freely. You can tackle most any terrain with this stroller. I think this is an awesome set and would make the perfect gift for new parents. Way better quality than the Graco set I had with my last child; the Rolls Royce of infant travel in comparison! Sturdy, comfy, and Maxi-Cosi! Overall a great product, and have recommended it to several people, and will continue to do so.

This Maxi- Cosi Kaia Micro 3 in 1 travel system is fantastic. It is all you would need for your child from birth, to 4 years old. There is a maximum weight of 50 lbs. You can use the carrier as a car seat for the baby when you leave the hospital, and then as a carrier when you go into the house. There are so many good qualities about this travel system. There is a canopy on the carrier/car seat, and also one on the stroller. There is also a cup holder that fits on the stroller up by the handle. The wheels can swivel, or can be locked not to swivel, if you so desire. I will have to admit I had some trouble putting it together, but I am not mechanical, so it takes me a while to assemble things. The instructions are well written, but it was difficult, at first, for some of the parts to lineup. The carrier/car seat, and stroller are made very well. They are sturdy and durable, and are made to last. What is convenient with the Maxi-Cosi Kaia 3 in 1 system, is that you can take your infant in the car seat/carrier, then place the car seat/carrier on the stroller and go shopping. You can also use it as a car seat, then take it out and use it as a carrier. It also fits in shopping carts. When you have a baby, you have a lot of things around the house taking up space, but with the Maxi-Cosi Kaia, 3 in 1 System, it is so compact, that it doesn't take up a lot of room. Everything you need for travel for your child, is all together. The stroller is easy to maneuver, so it is a joy to push when you go for walks. It is very easy to fold up for storing, or for travel. Instead of purchasing so many products, I would recommend you consider getting the Maxi-Cosi Kaia 3 in 1 system. It would be great for your child, or it would make a fabulous gift for someone you know who is having a baby. Believe me, they would be so thankful and happy to receive this. I picked the red color, and it is bright and beautiful.

This Maxi Cosi Kaia car seat and stroller set is quiet nice and is lightweight. It is designed for infants between five and twenty-two pounds. The car seat base anchors into your vehicle with the seat belt and the car seat itself snaps into the base. It is a rear facing seat which clips very easily into and out of the base making it easy to move the baby without having to wake him or her up. You can then clip the car seat into the stroller frame, again without waking the child. Once the instructions are read all setup and transfers are simple and quick. My problem with this set is that the car seat is only intended for a child up to 22 pounds. With my first two grandchildren this would have meant that it would be useful for well passed two years. Then came my grandson who I affectionately call Moose. Moose was over 22 pounds by six months old, so the car seat would at this point have to be replaced with a larger one. Only six months seems to short a useful life for an item this expensive. I know he is much larger than other children his age but our situation is what it is. The Stroller, on the other hand is really great and can be used with children up to 50 pounds making it a much better value for the money. Opening and closing the stroller could not be easier which is important when you are juggling purchases, the child and the stroller. There is a basket underneath for carrying supplies an a cup holder which can be used on the left or right side depending on your preference. The stroller back also lays back so that the child can recline and sleep.

The Maxi Cosi Kaia Mico Nxt Travel System includes …The stroller, infant seat, and the base for the infant seat…The available colors for this set are red and black. Also be aware that if you decide to order this set, make sure you are buying from an authorized retailer, if the retailer is not an authorized seller, your warranty on the product will be voided. You can checkout there website to view a list of authorized retailers. Kaia the stroller: was easy to assemble when opting to FOLLOW the easy to understand instructions included. I would consider this to be an extra large umbrella stroller. The handles on the stroller are made of hard plastic which was a little uncomfortable after awhile without the padding, and are non adjustable which could pose a problem for taller individuals. The Maneuverability on grassy terrain was satisfactory, however on a smooth surface the stroller appeared to wobble from side to side a lot, and even more so when the infant seat was attached, making it feel somewhat unsteady. The adapters to support the car seat are also made of plastic and can be time consuming to install compared to other strollers that have the snap and go feature without having to attach anything. The seat adjusts easily by pulling two straps on the back of the stroller. The canopy seems to be very flimsy and doesn't stay in place well. There is one plastic cup holder which isn't enough if you and your toddler have cups that need storing. Also the cup holder can be easily attached by sliding it into place just beneath the handle of the stroller and cannot hold anything over 16 oz. Due to the design of the Stroller the storage basket has a limited amount of space and can only be accessed from the front of the stroller…which I found to be very inconvenient. Collapsing the stroller requires you to press in and hold both buttons located underneath the handles on the stroller while putting your foot on and pulling up on the bracket located on the back of the stroller, again very time consuming, but once collapsed the stroller stands upright. I guess once you get the hang of everything… it's easier to use, but for me it just seemed to be too much work for a stroller that's suppose to be compact and convenient to use. The brakes are located on both the front and rear wheels and appear to work very well , also the rear brakes work differently than most strollers… the latch with the red marking will lock the rear wheels when pressed while the latch with the blue marking will unlock the rear wheels when pressed. The maximum weight for the Kaia is 50lbs. Mico the Car Seat and Base: the base is heavy duty and fastens securely in the vehicle with ease. It also comes with the necessary adjustments needed to fit most vehicle seat belt systems. The Car seat fits into the base and stroller effortlessly. The seat is well padded, lightweight and can be adjusted easily to accommodate your infant. Also The Maxi Cosi Mico rated “Excellent” on Consumer Reports for being the most lightweight in its class and for scoring a high side impact protection rating. The only issue I have with the Mico would be the flimsy sagging canopy… Other than that, this is a perfect seat which would be worth purchasing without the KAIA Stroller. The maximum weight for the Mico Is 22lbs. The Maxi Cosi Kaia Mico Nxt system is a perfect set for someone with limited space for storage or when traveling light; however if space is not an issue, I would definitely look elsewhere. The price is too high compared to other 3 in 1 systems that offer more and are far less time consuming to use.
