The black was dried out and old. Could not use it. Glad it was not overly expensive. Picture looked very good but not what I received.!

The product was dried out when I first opened it. I have tried using it several times and it creates little balls that won't smudge. I also used primer to mix with it and it isn't much better. I love the plum "leather" matte color. I have bought several other tattoo colors and loved them all.

I love the formula but don't want to do a Smokey eye every time. Please, Maybelline, make a light tan color. There is leather out there that is lighter than the current options here.

I have the 24-hr color tattoo Permanent Taupe. It has gotten difficult to find an eye shadow in this color that does not have glitter in it, or that is not in a set with a lot of colors that I do not want. So I appreciate that I can by just this one matte color and that it does indeed stay on. However, I find it quite difficult to apply so that it looks smooth. I've tried with my finger, with a special brush, with a little water. As yet I am still not satisfied, but I shall keep trying. Maybe with a sponge applicator? After reading the reviews here, I will also try using it as an eyeliner, since I have a hard time finding eyeliners that stay on, too (m eyes tend to water).

I bought a few of the shadows in different colors, and when I saw how well they held up on my oily eyelids, I decided to buy the black and try it as an eyeliner. You see, I am 54. Nothing, and I mean nothing from drugstore to high end liquid liners lasts on my eyelids for longer than an hour because my eyelids are oily. THIS STAYS PUT! I apply it over top of a tatoo colored shadow that is overtop of an eyeshadow base (another brand). I. am. in. heaven. Please don't stop making!
