MY 80 year old dad wanted this fridge for his room. It is great, it has room for all he wants to keep in it and the freezer is big enough to store a few items, more than just ice trays like most of the other little fridges. He has had it now for a couple weeks and we have had no problems with it.

We purchased this fridge to put upstairs for water, drinks and snacks. The temperature is very cold and the first night we froze everything but found if we fill the fridge and keep it at 4 everything stays ice cold but does not freeze. There is more than enough room to put bottled water, it holds 5 canned beverages in a special holder and has room for snacks and a freezer that holds pints of ice cream. The one drawback is the amount of electric it uses, the expected monthly usage runs about $30.00.

Based upon the description, this "sounded" like exactly like we were looking for, and the price couldn't be beat. It was a great value, but, we had purchased it for our Master Bedroom to keep beverages in for upstairs, and the compressor was soo noisy and loud, we could barely sleep. And like other reveiwers noted...it came packaged and wraped in plastic very nicely, but once opened and all of the "shrikwrap" pastic film was taken off, it had 7 small dents all over the front door?!?! Unfortunately, between those 2 rather larger issues, we had to return it to our local Walmart for a full refund...which was handled very nicely and quickly. Sorry Magic Chef.

Very Pleased with overall performance. Started with thermostat at setting 6. Froze 1 soda, backed down to setting 5. Unit makes ice quickly and keeps sodas very cold which is appreciated here in Southern Calif.

Although my item came with some scratches (it has since been replaced though and a fast turn around), I can say it is doing somewhat what it was designed to do. It has 2 components: Fridge & Freezer. The fridge does it part ok. However, I'm not satisfied with the freezer component. If your item is already frozen, the freezer will maintain. But if putting a bottle of water in the freeze "to" freeze, the freezer on this fridge will not get you to that freeze state. It will only get it to a very cold state for you. So please do not put ice cream in this fridge or you may have a mess to clean. Another item I don't like is the location where they placed the defroster button. It is right above the top shelf where food goes. So should you shift any items and one hits that button, your fridge could be defrosting without your knowledge; and you can return home with a nice puddle of water to clean up. Must you extra common sense and attention to detail to operate portions of this item.
