Love it! Tried many homemade sauces and so far I love this one! Super easy to make I read a lot of reviews before I tried this The most common was that it was too mild and not spicy enough I put in El Pato Mexican Hot Tomato Sauce replacing the tomato sauce BIG DIFFERENCE!! Try it..seasonings are perfect!
This seasoning is really good if you add it to your beef mixture for enchiladas. I made mine as normal, but added this to the meat mixture. Between my sauce and this seasoning , it had an extra kick to it that made it perfect! I will be incorporating it into my recipe from now own!!
This enchilada sauce was alright, but I actually prefer the type that is already a sauce. I thought I would try something a little different, and it wasn't bad if you don't have the ready made sauce available. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy this product again since there are times when it could definitely be more convenient, like when you have limited space in the cupboard or perhaps traveling. I think it's worth giving a try if you like to make enchiladas. It does save space in the pantry and it can be less expensive to buy then enchilada sauce that is already made.
I really liked this mix. It had a very good flavor and will be a new addition to our regular menu. I liked how simple it was to mix up and brought a very good flavor to our meal. My family really liked it also. To me it is a lot better than buying the mix in a can. It is much easier to store in the pantry than a can of the pre made stuff. Overall I would recommend this to anyone that is making enchiladas.
This was pretty good but there is a lot of salt in the sauce. I made the Mccormick enchilada sauce mix as directed with an eight ounce can of tomato sauce, however thats when I stopped following the directions. I had made grilled chicken the night before and had two large breast left over. I shredded the chicken. I layered the tortillas on the bottom of the slow cooker and proceeded in this order: tortillas, chicken, thawed drained frozen corn, sauce, chopped onions and cilantro, cheese and sliced olives until it was gone. It turned out to be three layers. I put the slow cooker on low for 4 hours because the ingredients are already cooked. When it was done I served it on a bed of shredded lettuce with some lime wedges, sour cream, fresh cilantro and onions to brighten it up. It was good/easy and I will try it again.
