Meade Telescope and Microscope Kit

This made my Nephew's birthday wonderful! Until we figured out it was broken. It was broken in shipping. I wish they had more, this was a great value, a great starter set and it was just right for an 11 year old. Bring it back!

Within the first hour of this product being open the plastic piece that you screw the tripod into broke off ... its very difficult to focus and has some sort of sticky residue on the lens piece where it moves in and out to focus it. This is a very cheap and poorly made product IMO. The microscope is also difficult to focus and the included slides are nothing special--also very hard to focus on. What a waste of money, we are getting NO use out of it.

Lots of little odd and ends included with the microscope. Made a great gift for our little four-year old scientist! However, I would not recommend telescope for older kids, as they would be disappointed with veiwing. The lenses aren't powerful enough to see much better than the naked eye. For the price - it is still a great value.

He was excited to look at things upclose & looks outside for things to look at closer. Was a GREAT present for him to learn with thru his schooling years.

The set is very nice. It's a great first for kids. You have to be careful not to be to rough with the stands or they will break. We are very happy with this product.
