Perfect for the breast milk coolers.
I love that the ice pack have the indentations to hold bottles in the cooler that I got this with. It came in handy while pumping in school and it wasn't expensive either. I even bought 2, one for backup. I'll be using it several times a week this upcoming semester as well.
Does what it should do, keep the breastmilk cool! I've also found other uses for it outside of keeping breastmilk cold, such as keep bottles of formula cool when opened but not used up completely. I like that even when cold there is not much condensation formed so it'd not a total wet mess when you take it out and about.
This is a really ingenious idea. "lets make an ice pack that fits around the bottles so that you can fit more in the bottle bags when you are on the go." - BEST idea. I highly recommend this product. Even if you do not have a baby! When my husband and i go to the race track for the day, we take one with us for our personal usage to keep soda and beer cool. They should be marketed to a larger audience in my opinion. Everyone needs a Medela Ice Pack!
To me, it was the same as any other ice pack. I rarely used it so I wouldnt see it as necessity. I only used it if we were out for long periods of times and I eventually ended up pumping more milk than baby needed. There's not anything special to it.
