Be aware that this "crib" comes with a sponge pad about 1" thick, and you can not use any other type mattress because of safety reasons. So if you are purchasing this thinking you will use it as a permanent solution to a lack of space, this crib may not be what you need. However, if its just for temporary sleeping arrangements it's perfect.

My son has been sleeping in his pack-n-play his whole life (10 mo now) but he started standing up and leaning over the edge and it is threatening to tip over - meanwhile he's trying to push through the netting. We thought 'why buy a really expensive one when he's already trying to climb out of this pack n play?' So we thought a pack-n-play size crib for $100 would be swell...so far it has held up to him, no signs of wobbling and no tipping scares! We got the white crib which looks lovely and it really is a nice crib - probably not as breathtaking as the $500 cribs, but I like it! I put his pack n play 'mattress' (if you can call it that) under the mattress pad that came with the crib, and that is enough for him. Just remember this is the same size as a pack n play - which doesn't fit standard sized crib bedding... I don't use it to travel with...I'm not sure it would fit in my Jetta wagon - so we still take the pack n play (folds up much more compactly) but it was a cinch to put together (did it myself as my hubby was on his way home from work) and it folds up nicely, which will be useful for storage when he's outgrown it and has moved on to a toddler bed!

It definitely does the trick. The directions could be made a little more clear but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out either! I completely agree with everyone who says to buy an additional mattress. Without it you feel like your baby's sleeping on a prison mattress. Overall, I'm happy with the purschase. P.S. Be careful with the bumper you buy for it, I bought a portable one and it ended up being too short =(

We are grandparects to a new baby boy. Living in a condo we are limited for space and can not accommodate a full size crib. This crib is perfect for our situation. It was easy to assemble, is sturdy, and great looking. It also folds if we ever want to store it out of the way or if our daughter wants to use it when traveling. The mattress was quite thin so we purchased a 3 inch mattress that fits perfectly.

Bought for our granddaughter for our house and to take to the lake house. Took it last weekend and it was perfect. The other mothers/grandmothers were so jealous. Rolled to whereever we needed it and when it was time to go home just folded it up and put it in the original box with the 3" mattress we bought and away we went. The thicker mattress is a must!!
