Mod Podge Resin Alcohol Inks, Metallics, Gold & Silver, 2 Piece

Review of Plaid Mod Podge alcohol ink dyes I have read in other reviews that this alcohol ink will bleed if used with wood pouring plaques, such as the one that I received as part of this review campaign. This alcohol based ink says it can be mixed with Mod Podge or with resin. This references the website of the company, Plaid (not allowed to put a website address in a review. But the website address is included in one of the pictures.) It has a video of “Getting started with Resin.” You are supposed to wear a respirator mask. The video is easy to follow, informative and short, so I would recommend viewing it if you are new to resin pouring like I am. The two colors in the “Beach Please” set are 62 and 64 Overall four out of five stars

This is great for coloring your epoxy and making your projects bright and fun! I used 5 drops in my 120ml epoxy mixture to get the perfect blue i needed. When adding the dye I slowly add one drop at a time making sure to completely mix in each drop before adding another drop. Once my mixture is ready i slowly pour into my mold watching for any possible bubbles that may appear. I did get a few bubbles but i dont think it was from using the dye with my epoxy. I waited 24 hours before removing the coaster from the mold and had a beautiful and bright coaster! The red dye i used to make a domino set and i did the same exact process nut i had to do 7 drops of coloring to get the dark red i was looking for. The colors are bright and shine beautifully when mixed in epoxy.

Walmart has a great selection of these alcohol inks and they are perfect for using with resin and or using to make alcohol ink prints. Just drop small amounts of ink onto your art paper and then below with a straw to blend the colors together. I like how the silver and gold looks like a true silver and gold. Very pretty. Highly recommend.

The colors were okay, I just didn't care for the project. I used the colors with resin to make coasters but it was messy. The coasters were small and didn't have a great design. The only thing I would change is adding more colors to the pack so that you have more options when making things.

I'm very excited to get resin and play with these alcohol inks. I wanted to finish the project prior to reviewing but I wasn't able to get the resin in time. These colors are beautiful though and I can't see how these wouldn't work perfectly. It only takes 1 to 2 drops per once of resin, so I can't imagine not having enough to last a very long time. I'm so excited for this arts and crafts project.
